do you expect defenses to make a stop on each drive ?
this defense is already meh and its best player (arguably, maybe it's Fred) being out

this defense allowed 289 yards of offense and two touchdown drives, with one of the two FGs coming after making a defensive stance after a Brock pick

this game is not on defense

Maybe it is maybe it isn't, but a big part of this s**t season has to do with the defense and it's DC. I could give a f**k about moral victories, the 49ers still loss. Seattle made no adjustments in terms of personnel on offense. On defense McDonald switched up his LB's and adjusted to the offense. For every esxcuse about the defense loss Bosa and what not, what about the offense, no Aiyuk, no Kittle, which was huge.

You people love to blame Kyle for f**kin anything and yes, he is to blame too. But just cause the offense was struggling. doesn't give the defense an excuse to play just good enough for them to lose. Yes Kyle needs to clean s**t up on offense, but I guarantee you he won't be fired.
Crazy how we lose one guy and the defense tanks.

Greenlaw is the #1 biggest one missed IMO.
I thought the defense did alright for the most part, but I think most of us knew the Seahawks was gonna get a touchdown on that last drive.
With an extra week to prepare, Seattle had a good offensive game plan that included Geno running the ball. He is a big guy that runs well. The Seahawks took advantage of the big weakness of the Wide 9 by running in the gaps between the DL. On their final drive, instead of rushing 5, Sorenson stubbornly stayed with the basic four giving Smith more time to pass and, eventually finding running room to win the game. Contrast that with what LAC did last night when they needed to pressure Burrow. The Chargers won the game by adding another rusher.

Learn, Nick. Learn.
Nick is too scared to be unconventional.

I don't think it's hyperbolic to say that having a healthy Greenlaw alone adds another win or two more right now. That's how awful Devondre Campbell has been, especially in critical plays that swung the game against the Niners. The dude has singlehandedly sabotaged the defense in every single loss.

Completely true.

Not having Greenlaw and Hufanga along with another new DC can't help. Huff and Greenlaw both get penalized a lot but they have an instinct for the ball. They make plays so a penalty for roughing or PI is acceptable occasionally.

Sorenson running the defense how Kyle wants though

I dont think he gets fired unless Saleh or Ulbrich want to come here

You might be right, and if he sticks with Sorensen that might make me turn on Shanahan.

They have tried others but they do no better. Curtis Robinson was targeted to be the replacement but he is on IR. Tatum Bethune shows promise but is not ready to be a regular. DFF is only on STs. Dee Winters has been coming on. I expect him to take over soon. His problem was in overrunning plays and taking himself out of the tackle.
