Greenlaw is the #1 biggest one missed IMO.

I don't think it's hyperbolic to say that having a healthy Greenlaw alone adds another win or two more right now. That's how awful Devondre Campbell has been, especially in critical plays that swung the game against the Niners. The dude has singlehandedly sabotaged the defense in every single loss.

The personnel is not great but I also think schematic wise.. Sorensen isn't the guy.

Why the f**k they don't cut him like Seattle did Tyler Dodson pisses me off!!! They just keep giving this frickin guy chance after chance.

They have tried others but they do no better. Curtis Robinson was targeted to be the replacement but he is on IR. Tatum Bethune shows promise but is not ready to be a regular. DFF is only on STs. Dee Winters has been coming on. I expect him to take over soon. His problem was in overrunning plays and taking himself out of the tackle.

I haven't seen them try others but one thing is for sure. He should not be on the field on third downs relied upon so much in coverage. He doesn't have the speed or range for those responsibilities.

Maybe it is maybe it isn't, but a big part of this s**t season has to do with the defense and it's DC. I could give a f**k about moral victories, the 49ers still loss. Seattle made no adjustments in terms of personnel on offense. On defense McDonald switched up his LB's and adjusted to the offense. For every esxcuse about the defense loss Bosa and what not, what about the offense, no Aiyuk, no Kittle, which was huge.

You people love to blame Kyle for f**kin anything and yes, he is to blame too. But just cause the offense was struggling. doesn't give the defense an excuse to play just good enough for them to lose. Yes Kyle needs to clean s**t up on offense, but I guarantee you he won't be fired.

Who the hell is "you people" ? Could you please stop creating baseless labels ?

Who said anything about moral victories ?

The defense played ok. Not great, but not bad either. If I were to tell you the defense would

hold Geno to under 200 pass yards
pick him off in their own redzone
allow under 100 yards rushing
get a 4th and inches stop

all while playing without Bosa for more than a half, all while without Ward.

you'd be ecstatic.

On the other hand, if I told you that the Niners offense would post its second worst yards in a game that Brock started and finished, behind only the Browns game, what would your feeling be ?

Again, did defense played great ? No. Did more than fine though. They essentially allowed 17 points. They did it without the #1 paid corner, 1/2 a game without highest paid lineman. None of the defenders in the second half besides Warner are paid a lot.

Sorry, but when you have a lot of high paid players playing on offense, including a soon to be 60m qb, with a genius offensive coach, I expect a good performance against a crappy seattle defense. I dont expect a defense making a lot of stops playing

I see exactly one elite player on this defense. Demo and Collins are nice but nothing amazing.

CMC, Trent, Deebo, Brock alone beat this sorry group in terms of talent and money on the field.
I don't see how they can continue to roll out Campbell over Winters? Camp is the slowest linebacker I've seen in 20+ tears of watching this team. My only guess is that Winters is either horrible against run or too stupid to grasp the scheme. Maybe if we had a decent DL they could gamble with Winters but since our Tackles are soft we need additional run support?

Any time there is a 3rd down or big stop needed you can find 59 trailing behind the play trying helplessly to catch up. So maddening I can't even handle it anymore.
He's gonna be the scapegoat but shanny is responsible for our terrible red zone offense
"I'm not here to throw Nick Sorensen under the bus, but they don't—as opposed to Steve Spagnuolo and some of these other teams in this league that are good blitzing teams—they just don't know how to get a free hitter to the quarterback. They just don't dial it up. They don't overload. They don't disguise. And so, they're pretty bland in what they do."

That's from Baldy...He also the defense is slow. Pretty accurate take.

Brian Baldinger on Nick Sorensen:

"Opposed to Steve Spagnuolo and some of these other teams in this league that are good blitzing teams, they just don't know how to get a free hit to the quarterback. They just don't dial it up. They don't overload, they don't disguise. So they're pretty bland in what they do."
Bland is definitely the right word for him.

Tell me, are you part of the Shanahan f**kin whiners? If not then you aren't "YOU PEOPLE". Besides who the f**k are you tell me to stop doing anything, you're nobody.

So what, his defense held Geno and did all this and that. His defense still allowed the game winning touchdown when it mattered. Jake Brendel and McKivitz were getting owned by DreMont Jones and Derek Hall, don't see you bringing that up. f**kin Deebo disappearing in the game, don't see you bringing that s**t up. Brock ain't gonna have much yards other players on offense don't do their job too.

Some times the defense has to just do the job and win the game, but Sorensen couldn't do it. He's not f**king guy so stop making excuses.

Yup, I don't see or sense that energy like with Saleh or Ryans tbh. Wilkes was respected, but he was more of a reserved guy by nature. Sorensen does not command that type of respect like his predecessors, and certainly isn't up to par with actual x's and o's either. He may end up being good down the line, but he was not ready for this.

Also Baldy is an opinion I highly respect. He is just being honest. Kyle knows it, but he needs to fix it this offseason asap. I think the problem is Kyle trying to find a guy to fit something that worked back in 19 through 22. He needs to find a good DC and let the man build his defense. I would love to see Saleh back, but not sure how realistic that is.

Why cause he agrees with you, it's not cause he's right though.
