He's a joke! Got fired his first year as ST coach and will be fired as DC.

Hopefully we hear that he's been fired in a few hours. But with how incompetent Shanahan is, I wouldn't count on it

For those of you expecting him to be relieved of his duties AFTER the season, think again. For one, unlike Wilks, he's coach's buddy. So Kyle won't fire him. The only alternative that might happen is he gets transitioned to STs coach (because Kyle is that stupid) and Staley becomes DC next year (because Kyle is that stupid).

What we should do is bring back Saleh, who Im sure the players would love to have back. And Saleh would probably bring his coaching staff eg Ulbrich from NY which would strengthen our defensive coaching team.

But we all know Kyle will never do that.

95.7 the game just suggested maybe he needs to move to the booth

I'm not a fan of the style of defense that the 49ers use. I prefer a more aggressive approach that keeps the offense onit's heels. It comes with the risk of the occasinal big play but this team has been giving up big 3rd down plays all year. I can accrept a big play downfield sometimes if they get more sacks and tackles for loss.

If they have somebody in mind who is available and wants to come here go get him, if not, stick with Sorensnon. Firing guys without having any backup plan is how we got Wilkes and Sorenson in the first place.

I'm not sure if our players are just poor tacklers, but they seemed to be in the right position to stop the run they just couldn't tackle.

Agreed. I doubt Saleh would come back once he looks at the talent we have on paper. The front 7 is a total shell of itself from his time here. And I don't think Ulbrich will be following Saleh. He will be out on his own as a DC so that's someone they could hire

I assumed there was a plan in place before the firing of Wilks. Maybe Sorensen was the plan lol. Now, I kinda feel lame for cryin' fire Wilks 1000 times haha. He was pretty uninspiring though. But this guy?..ugh. Kyle has to replace this dude.

you can keep hiring DCs every year.. but the results will be the same. It takes time.. like the time Saleh and Meco got to become who they are

Just because Sorenson stinks doesn't mean they made the wrong decision to fire Wilks. He sucked too.

But at least Wilks had some creativity in his scheme. I've seen high school defenses more complex than Sorenson's.

Kyle needs to hire a good DC that has creativity and energy, and get out of his damn way. He should be focusing more on game management and finding a way to make his offense way more creative because it's gotten very stale

The problem isn't hiring good DC. He's shown he can do that with Saleh and DeMeco. The issue is finding a way to keep them.
