He's Kyle's extra set of eyes (on top of the CCP cameras Kyle has everywhere). He will be in Kyle's ear playing Monday Morning QB about what he would have did as the DC the previous game.

You never know… maybe Staley learns what not to do from Kyle and becomes a better hc as a result. This hire does nothing for us but could be a turning point for Staley.

And most importantly, the s**t Brandon Staley got for his LAC tenure in terms of his defensive prowess was totally undeserved. To this day he's still known as one of the brightest defensive minds in the sport. And he's going to have a major role in game planning…

He was excellent in other roles. The Chargers are a s**t show from the top down, This was not all on him. I am more than okay with seeing how this pans out. Along with the DC hire. It just might work. Kyle has done a pretty damn good job with the coaching staff and even Wilks wasn't a total suck. It was a not right fit. Big difference.

When Kyle has a history of making bad decisions as a whole on the coaching staff I'll get on board with you other always negative Nancy's. Got to have something to cry about.

Why are folks crying and b**ching about Staley as is he's the HC? He's just a guy that brings new ideas and a different perspective on d to work with a rookie DC for f**ks sake relax people
