See,we practically were the "AZ Cardinals" for a while during the Erickson and Nolan years then Tomsula/Kelly later on. At least when you're terrible you accept it by mid/late September and remove yourself from any emotional investment for the rest of the year. I would much rather be a bad team and miss the playoffs than make it all the way to the Super Bowl and lose every time.

Never for the life of me could understand this logic. Those 2015 and 2016 seasons were depressing as hell. Just about every game was painful to watch.
I far rather would see them have a season like they just had with a ton of fun games that made me feel like I got my money and times worth and see them fall just short(although hopefully not) versus getting boat raced nearly every game with nothing to look forward to each year other than the draft.
I watched every minute of those 2015 & 16 seasons. They sucked, but at least you wouldn't care by the time October came around. nobody cares or will remember that your team only won 2-4 games a season, but a 3 game Super Bowl losing streak? Better believe opposing fans/ media will be the first ones to let you know every chance they get. I miss the days of being able to brag about having the most super bowls while being undefeated.
some of you might be complacent with making this far and coming up empty 8 times since 1997, but I find it incredibly frustrating
