Let's play: Who should we trade/release

Give it one year with the main guys. I think between 2025 and 2026 Kittle, Armstead, Deebo, Juice, Hargrave and Williams will all be gone.

Let's hope they don't make the same mistake they made with Buckner. Replacing Arik with another Kinlaw would be brutal.
I think the team is probably a year away from having to make some of these decisions. I think Armstead and Deebo would probably be the first on the chopping block when the time comes. I also think cutting Deebo and Juice is going to be trickier than people realize. Their contributions don't come with a lot of flash, but their is a certain uniqueness to what they offer that isn't readily available. In some ways they are one of one type players.

Deebo & Juice aren't going anywhere anytime soon, my prediction is they restructure Deebo's deal this year, and yes both are basically 1/1's, no one does what they do, especially on the 49ers right now. I hate whenever we sign a UDFA FB and ppl respond that he'll replace Juice, never happens, ppl don't realize what he brings to this team, it's more than catching, & running with the ball, his blocking is a key to the offensive run game working so well, along with Kittle.

Reading a lot of posts on the board, I get the sense people want to transition more into a dropback passing team. At least run more 3 WR sets. Don't think it's the strength of the scheme or the personnel though. Probably asking for trouble.

Trade none.

AA is the one player who you MIGHT be able to justify letting go a year too early rather than a year too late because of his lower extremity injuries, but he's too good a player to walk for nothing, and you don't save any money trading him this year.

Deebo only if forced to pick between him and Aiyuk at gun point.

Why won't they save money if they trade AA this year? He has a cap hit of over $28 million. If they release him they don't save anything but if he's traded the new team takes on most of the salary.

Because cap hit =/= cash owed.

Agreed. We're not going from bottom 5 run-pass ratio to mid-league pass-run ratio. That changes the philosophy dramatically. And the personnel needed for it.

It would certainly be more entertaining though. Ha

I wouldn't want to trade any, but if gun to the head it's going to be AA and/or Dweebo

Sign a DE in free agency and get a couple more in the draft. They still have BA, JJ and Conley, draft another WR early (Rice) and Gore Jr.

Why would they want to release/trade Juice when he's the only one who doesn't piss anyone off after a game? He does his job 99.9% well
I think Kittle and Deebo are expendable… they can definitely find some blocking tight ends. I don't think he's that critical to the offense.
Someone put CMC

It's not like we use him in Superbowls anyhow. Ha.
Trade bosa. We can get equal production for way less and won't be such an outright trump fan

All I care about is how good a player is, not their politics but anyway ...lol

When did you hear him say one thing about Trump? I'm sure you can't name one provable moment.

He's referencing video of Bosa meeting Trump last night at the UFC fight. He's made positive comments in the past as well that people constantly meme online.

He's really good at football, which is the important context for us.

Really? Because we haven't really found ANY blocking TE's since...Kittle. Woerner is the closest thing, and he's not that good. Darnell Washington would have (should have) been the move last year, but we ended up with two other very forgetable TE's.
