He's been more productive for sure. Young is younger and theoretically could get better.

Let's see what kind of deal Young actually gets. The market will speak.

Probably true on all of that. He's certainly more productive. He could be a beast across from Bosa.

We snagged a solid next tier down guy for a good price. 10 mil for that production in today's NFL seems pretty damn good to me. If he can give us 10 sacks next year that is a pretty significant upgrade. Time will tell but not a big risk at 10 mil a year.

It also leaves us more budget to extend Aiyuk and not have to cut/trade more vets like Juice.

Basically what's left is rotation guys and backups. Which means we're going hard for oline in the draft. Which means we're going into next year with the same roster minus some pieces + Lloyd and - Armstead. Oh and Huff is coming back from a major injury and Greenlaw is out for a bit.

I mean meh. I don't think he's much better than young or Gregory. I would put them all kinda in the same tier. I still think young is more talented.

none of them besides Ferrell can set the edge.

Overall if this is our big splash signing. I'd say….
