They don't look alike.

This was posted days ago after Kendricks bailed on us and he hadn't officially signed yet.
He's officially signed.

This dude sounds like Marcellus Wallace lol

But "does Marcellus Wallace look like a b***h"
Love this signing. It also think it signals Drake Jackson is done. I can see his as a healthy scratch next year. I am excited to see him lined up to the most productive rushers he's had in some time.
2yr, $20M deal, $12M fully GTD, doesn't look like any of his 2025 base is GTD, at least OTC doesn't have any GTD, might be an injury guarantee.

$1.21M & $7.9M base salaries, $10.79M signing bonus, prorated over 5yrs, no per game roster bonuses, $50K workout bonuses.

2024- $3.418M cap number
2025- $10.108M cap number

Compared to Chase Young who received a 1yr guaranteed $13M deal, we got Floyd to 2 years at that price.

The contracts are real similar.

Both with a 3.4 mil cap hit this year. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out if Chase gets an extension after 1 year and/or if Floyd is cut after this year.

You got Chase who is 7years younger but with a neck injury. Chase actually graded out better than Floyd last year but Floyd has been the much more productive pass rusher. I think Floyd's run D has been questionable.

Pretty similar players but I think I'd rather have Floyd. More production although a lot less potential. I'm pretty confident that I've seen enough of Chase that he never reaches his potential though.

Chase had his chance to prove his worth with us, Initially I thought ok, he'll put up like 5 sacks for us, maybe 7, but also have an impact in other areas, so I had them re-signing him, but when he was a huge no show or going off script, I said no way we're retaining him, and I remember on a podcast before FA started I stated Young would be in the Jadeveon Clowney area, where he'd have to take a 1yr deal, maybe a series of 1yr deals, I wouldn't be shocked if he misses time in NO, and has to sign another 1yr deal, now Clowney is out of that 1yr deal, kinda, he signed a 2yr deal, but he no shows at times too, I'd rather have Floyd who is a proven commodity IMO.
