Was worried about base downs when we signed Floyd but now we have a rotational duo that makes sense. Yetur Gross-Matos has never lived up to his athletic potential but he can set the edge on early downs and still might have upside in the pass rush He's got a bit of the injury bug so hopefully that doesn't happen here.

Placed their penis in their faces while simulating ejaculation.Placed their penis on and in their buttocks.

So he's Charles Haley without the sack production. Awesome.
Lol

Between him and Floyd the DE spot opposite is solved. Great signing!

I dig it. So if what that CAR fan said is true about him being a good pass rushing DT, is he also a good run stopping DE for base downs? $9 for a designated pass rushing DT is a lot so I'm hoping he can also pitch in as a good run stopping DE.
He's 260, he's not a DT. He played OLB for the Panthers in the 3-4 they ran last year.
Ok and? Key wasn't a DT and they played him here as a rush DT and he did well and got a decent pay day the next year. Just because he played something else in a crap organization doesn't t mean a good team doesn't have a different vision

OL class extremely deep and talented. We could find multiple long-term IOL and an OT of the future in this class. Seems like that's gonna be the plan now.
Good!
Teams that over spend in FA on OL usually get f**ked. If you can sign an all pro type of OL, sure, it makes sense. But when you give top money to average/above average OL, that's one way to put yourself in cap hell and not get impact players.
Hunt is by far the best G in this class (especially because of his age), but he's gonna be probably end up being the highest paid G during this offseason. Spending big money on Gs might be the worse way to spend to money if you want long them success.
Zeitler is another guy, I hope we at least make an attempt at him for 1-2 years, he's 34 but he's always been a very solid G
Then you got T Smith at T (really want us to get after him) but he's also going to be expensive, mid 30s now, and injury prone. But if he's willing to come for cheaper on a 2 year deal I would be all for it.
No thanks to mid 30s and injury prone.
Seriously might as well want David B from the Packers as well

Yeah pass rushing DT doesn't have to be 290+. Arden Key excelled in that role with the 49ers and he's like 250.

After you get past all the obnoxious "who" comments, 49ers fans should be excited that DE Yetur Gross-Matos is an intriguing player for Kris Kocurek to maximize along the DL. Gross-Matos' versatility allows him to generate significant pressure inside #FTTBpic.twitter.com/To8UQ0Qjqb https://t.co/izCURhOj5w

CAROLINA PANTHERS: EDGE YETUR GROSS-MATOS
It is not easy to highlight someone on the 2023 Carolina Panthers who has significantly improved compared to previous seasons. However, while Gross-Matos missed time due to an injury, he recorded career-high pass-rushing, run-defense and overall grades in his fourth NFL season

- 2022 PFF grade: 51.2
- 2023 PFF grade: 65.4 (65.2 in pass-rushing, a 66.4 in run)

Those two would be fine is the price is right. We have Colton and Burford as insurance policies if they go down. But an OL with TW and Smith at T, that would be fun if both are healthy especially during the playoffs.
That would most certainly stop us from having to telegraph the big runs behind Trent! I wonder how badly Tyron Smith wants to win a Super Bowl? Would be a lot to ask, not only coming here on a cheap deal, but also switching to RT. But man is a beast, would be fun to see!

Pretty unexciting free agency so far.

I like what I see. Some of those interior reps are really nice. I think the pass rush was improved today.
Here's Yetur Gross-Matos' tape…

He played RT in 2022, so it shouldn't be bad. One can only hope...
