Kocurek continues to win FA every year and draft.
And then there's Foerster. The red headed step child.
The 49ers addressing the DL and forgetting the OL and Kyle Shanahan blowing super bowls will forever be a 49er staple.
The 49er Way.
It takes lots of self scouting.
At least we're consistent

DT Jordan Elliott, whom @RapSheet reports has agreed to terms with the 49ers, is a possible replacement for Arik Armstead along the team's starting defensive line.

haha no way he's a starter
MM is dumb
We'll see what their plan is, but he did start 31 of 34 games the last two years.

2020: 51.3 (105th)
2021: 41.6 (101st)
2022: 40.4 (118th)
2023: 47.3 (112th)
I feel like that this FA period will either make them look like geniuses or fools who overpaid for subpar players. Elliott is another bust like Gross-Matos.
Who is actually in charge of player personnel? That's usually the guy tasked with finding FA's. Man those numbers re pretty sad
Fools use Pff as gospel. There are many other factors involved.

Can't wait for Lombardi's positive spin on this signing.
In new DT Jordan Elliott, Kris Kocurek and the 49ers likely see an ascending player who can eat some of the hundreds of departed snaps SF must fill on the interior. Elliott developed into a starting role on Cleveland's good D-line — and the Browns run a Wide 9 like SF.

4.5…

It's true that there are many snaps to replace. Chase, AA, Kinlaw, Gregory, all were part of the rotation and they are all gone (most likely).
Elliot had 26 reps versus the 49ers in week 6 if anyone wants to watch him go up against Banks.

First play and at the 59 sec mark. Shows 2 run stopping reps against Banks. Elliot is #96. Busts up two plays by himself, the first coming off a double team.

Adding Jordan Elliott should relieve that pain. Last season Elliott ranked 6th in the NFL for DT run stop win rate. pic.twitter.com/caPkCga4ur
His 45.2 run defense grade on PFF ranked 105th out of 137 interior defenders missed 13.0% of his tackling attempts.
So someone is fibbin?
Both stats are from PFF, huh? Genius.
