His foot is not going to get better. It will be a chronic problem. Probably good for like 8 to 10 games next season. Should be a part time 3rd down type of player

I think what youre looking at is the signing bonus. So he had signing bonus of 5 mil spread over the years. Hence why it shows around 8 mil this year for us and 10 next year for us but was 13 mil for Texans this year and 15 mil next year. They are going to take the dead cap hit for the signing bonus.

That's my understanding of this atleast but I'm not 100% sure.

That was more of a miscommunication there. Yes he was doubled but both OL thought the other OL guy was going to sustain the block. Then they both looked to get to the second level.

edit: look at the combo block on the other DT. That's what's supposed to happen. One OLman sustains the block, the other moves to second level.

I don't understand why so many sleep on AA, when healthy he was really good and a legit piece on this d. When he didn't play the dline fell off, it's just now it's what have you done for me lately and most just see the time missed and the fact they chose to keep him which was the cheaper option over Buckner. He'll be missed on the field and locker room

His signing bonuses were 5mill each year and there is still 2 years left on the deal.

His base is 8. That's what we owe. 9.5 next year plus a minimal roster bonus

Because plantar fasciitis is a huge red flag

It's not like he broke a bone and is coming back 100%

AA will always be randomly injured and less than 100% during the year

This is a damn solid pick up. DTs looking good. Still want us to spend a late round pick on some pure run stuffing DT.

Yeah so at least one of them is definitely starting.

I think we can put to bed the idea that we're drafting DL in round 1. It's clearly going to be OL, which is what I've been saying it should be since the day after we lost the Super Bowl.
