So either this guy or Elliot are starting next to Hargrave, no? Both of them started the vast majority of their games last season.

Collins played 61% of snaps last year and and Elliot played 42%. They will rotate in and out and will also play together to spell Hargraves. Barring injury, I don't see their snap counts falling.

Yeah so at least one of them is definitely starting.

I think we can put to bed the idea that we're drafting DL in round 1. It's clearly going to be OL, which is what I've been saying it should be since the day after we lost the Super Bowl.

Funny you say that. I heard a pod that genuinely believes DT will still be the pick at 31. These guys are seen as depth.

Depends on who is available. They're in a much better position to go BPA now. Really expecting it to be an OT at this point.

I'd prefer they take the best player available, whether it's o line or d line. We still have picks in the 2nd and 3rd with a lot of ammo to move up, if we want to.

Agree with both. I want to believe OT but my spidey sense tells me it's going to be a d linemen. And to be honest they need it. Not sure if these two IDL guys we got are quality starters or depth. They needed the bodies either way. .

Let's hope so. I wouldn't be mad at a top C or G either.

BPA OL.

Yeah I can't really argue that, I wouldn't say any of our interior guys were good against the run last season lol

now when the scapegoat is gone, the true reality comes out

Keep telling yourself he was a scapegoat. Bummer they didn't fire KS and promote Wilks

Great even more defensive line. I don't see any offensive line here.

Because OL go for an UBER premium in FA. Lets hope they take OT round 1, G/C round 2, and OT round 3.

We have a lot of draft capital. Hopefully package some picks to move up and draft a legit OT in the first.

I like the thought of going bpa I hope they don't limit the options to D line or O line.

100x better than armstead at a fraction of the cost.

Armstead is a beast when healthy. I'm expecting Aaron Donald with what you just said.

A beast that has never made a pro bowl or all pro team? Agree with Cjez all things considered, AA never lived up to his contract IMO. Good player when healthy, but you don't pay that kind of money to DTs whose best ability is run defense and eating up blockers. You can find those guys on day 3 of the draft every year, which I anticipate us doing exactly that this year.

Did AA play good against the run? I thought his strength was pass rush.

He's known for his impact defending the run much more than pass rush, though he does do a good job pushing the pocket when healthy.

the only great press, that I can recall......, was AA at when playing end opposite of Bosa was considered good to great at holding the edge

The talk was the 49ers were the best in the league at holding the edge...in truth....that defense as amazing.

I am with the other guys that say AA is very replaceable, and never lived up to his contract.

I get AA not wanting to re-do his contract....he probably feels he will never see a contract like that again, but the dude has missed a ton of time...it would have been nice for him to re-work that deal.

Just need Wilks to get hired by Minneosta and you'll see VikingFaithful6 posting on a Vike board.

They could also very much use a CB if that's BPA. Don't see them using a 1st on a RB, TE, QB or LB.

I'm expecting an OT, if not that then a DT or DE and if they really wanted to blow people's minds, a center prospect.

I don't understand why so many sleep on AA, when healthy he was really good and a legit piece on this d. When he didn't play the dline fell off, it's just now it's what have you done for me lately and most just see the time missed and the fact they chose to keep him which was the cheaper option over Buckner. He'll be missed on the field and locker room

No doubt he's a great guy, with all the consideration for the Payton Award multiple years, but his production to cost ratio does not make good business or football sense any longer.

Every team, well most every team, tries to get better every year. AA has missed many games the past two years, and will likely continue to do so,yet he's getting paid top $.

At some point they will move off of Kittle, Deebo, Yuk,Mooney,Fred etc, no matter how much the staff or fans like them as a person or football player. Just not enough pie to go around and you have to balance the budget with a mix of A, B, C talent and hope you made the right decisions.

FANTASTIC TRADE. Collins is known for his run stopping ability.

When the cowboys lost him their run d fell off massively. They dropped from 11th to 31st. Dude is legit.

Perfect fit for our 2I spot at 6-2 310 👏

They were double teaming him there. Lol

Don't let the double team fool you - Titans' oline was trash! But still, that was Derrick Freaking Henry!
