I'm kind of excited to see him play in Kyle's system. When he played us, he did very well against the 49er defense which is one of the better defenses in the NFL. He definitely has the athleticism or actually a bit more than Brock. If he can process as well as Brock (though I doubt it) he can possibly challenge Brock next year. I think Dobb's has the ability to take the number two spot from Brandon Allen.

I think the Niners fanbase is the only fanbase that worries so much about who the backup QB is. Every other fanbase is "Well if we lose our starting QB the season is over anyways" Maybe it's PTSD from the Jimmy G years where he couldn't stay healthy and what happened to us 2 years ago with losing 3 QB's. But let's be honest, If Purdy gets hurt and misses alot of time we aren't snifing a SB no matter how decent our backup QB might be. And that's the same for the other 31 teams.
