The medics letting him walk may have very well exacerbated the problem. Potential bleeding in the pleural space leading to a collapsed lung, or worse. Letting a trauma patient walk tends to pump blood into places you don't want it… elevated heart rate doesn't help.

not condoning the robbery or shooting by any means but Pearsall needs to be aware of his surroundings and realize he wasnt in Santa Clara but in the city where unfortunately occurences like this happen. The city and the town are crazy right now and its like the inmates are running the asylum
