- Suspect is a 17 year old male from Tracy, CA
- It was an attempted robbery. Ricky fought the suspect and both were shot. Ricky shot the suspect with the suspects own gun. Multiple shots were fired.
- Ricky is goated

Ricky would fit in just fine in Idaho. No concealed permit required. Any non criminal over 18 with any hunting or firearms training can carry. Age restrictions only apply to cities. We don't get a lot of carjackings in Boise. Very dangerous occupation.

Dude, Boise has a population of 236,000. The entire state's population is about 2 million. Science has discovered that the more people placed in tighter and tighter quarters devolves into fighting. 236,000 isn't as big as a single city in the Bay Area. The state's population is about the size of the Bay Areas population. So jam the entire state of Idaho into the city limits of Boise and watch the crime rates jump.

17 year old shooter. Nice.

Get well soon.

Who she ?

Mayor. Lowest crime large cities, blah blah..

This could happen in any average city. Which is why such kneejerk discussion is misguided.

Nope, only happens in SF apparently

Except SF is a s**t show if you live here and see nightly news.
If his shoulder needs surgery, now's a good time.

You're not getting an argument from me. Too many people has a detrimental effect on happiness and anger issues short of fighting as well.

Ya I get so unhappy when there's a million things to do and I don't need to get in a car and drive 15 minutes to buy some milk.

You live in Boise now? I've thought of moving there. But damn no ocean would be weird.

Depends on the city. I literally have never locked my car in my neighborhood in SJ and never had any issues

A few years ago went to KC and it just felt so empty compared to the Bay Area. But also after their parade there was a mass shooter. There are plenty of dense cities in Europe that don't have larger populations and don't have the same rate of violent crime.

Yeah, I agree with that, too. So I've been able to keep a sailboat in Ventura. Half the people in our newish neighborhood arrive with California plates, and half the rest come from Oregon or Washington. Eastern and Southern Oregon have voted to join "Greater Idaho" which would give us oceanfront land, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen. It takes a couple of years to slow down and acclimate, but once you do, very few people go back. Those that do do so for money, but many of those come back again.
