Yep it will be an emotional drain on Him,waking up in the middle of the night from the nightmare of being shot.I think he will probably end up on the PUP getting shot does a lot of trauma to your body and being shot in the chest area wow He could have been killed...this is just crazy

Good, it's ridiculous that a little boy thinks he can run up on someone in broad daylight in a really "nice area" and pull a gun.

it just shows a complete lack of respect for the law or human lives. This shouldnt happen anywhere and people shouldn't feel emboldened to do it

its honestly just downright embarrassing.

It's a global phenomenon that is gaining momentum in the western world. You can blame the soft parenting and judicury. Probably better dealt with in the parking lot forum.
Hope this young man can overcome the struggles he is now facing mentally.

Glad he's okay, when I saw the news I thought the worst. I'd put him on IR and end his season, honestly don't want him to play like that. s**tty luck, it happens, time to just rest.

Would playing take his mind off it? Having something to do and focus on has to help I would think?

But ir he's in serious condition or gunshot wound to the chest, shouldn't you just rest and heal. I can't imagine him taking on impact to the chest when he gets hit. I'm just speculating of course, I don't know what a gunshot wound feels like let alone shot in the chest.

No he needs to be put on the PUP or IR He got shot in the Chest trauma to the body he needs to heal properly...football would only add more body trauma to him.I knew a guy who got shot he got shot in the thigh(s) the bullet went through both legs (shot from the right side of his leg) it was a through and through of both legs ,he had to watch how he walked had to keep his legs elevated and was on blood-clot medicine for a whole year .you would not think that because it was a through and through He would just heal up with no other problems right? you never know what damage that bullet caused in the chest,he could be on blood-clot medicine for an extended time frame.
Omg this is terrible . I am glad he is ok, Union Square is such an f--ing dumphole. Robberies all the time. Why was he there? I love the 9ers but I hardly ever go to the city, especially, U.S. just an f-ing dump. Has gone so far downhill. Last time I was at U.S., I was with a group of friends, they made some purchases at the stores there. One made the mistake of putting their items in the car for a little while before grabbing something to eat. Came back after the meal..window smashed, items taken. In a short amount of time. I wouldn't have anything of any value near me or on me in that crap s**t hole. Nor should any 9er be anywhere near the place tbh. Was he signing autos? s**t place to do it, if that is the case.

17 year old shooter. Nice.

Get well soon.

Yup, Union Square has been a dump for the last several years.
Gotta say, taking a video of him walking to the ambulance via cell is pretty low bar..as well as posting it. Just rubs me wrong. Guy should have more respect and privacy than that. Imo. I would have never recorded that s**t or much less post it. People and cell phones. Smh.

First of all thoughts to Ricky and his family. Praying that he has a full recovery. Football is not important at this time.
I was in Union Square in December during my visit to SF. It is a tourist area as every one knows and it there is a police presence there this kind of incident can happen anywhere in any major city in the world.

I hope the 49ers put him on IR and give him and the support and care he needs to get through the physical and mental ordeal. Im sure people the Brian Robinson shooting a few years ago where he came back and played in the season but each situation is unique and i hope the niners make the right call here.
Why does this sound like Ricky was not the victim. Dafuq?

I see we have a lot of doctors on these forums today.
