Need to sign the bullet to a multi year deal for missing all the major arteries and organs.

I've heard of blunt penetrations (like say when somebody falls onto a railing pole) that go straight through the body, essentially pushing the vital organs out of the way as it goes through. These end up being relatively minor injuries.
Obviously these are exceptions rather than the norm, but it made me think of this case in some ways.

Just read that Ricky Pearsall was already 24, by the time his 5th year option rolls around, he'll be almost 30. Tough age to be trying to snag your first big payday. Hopefully, he recovers without incident and gives the team at least four good years.
If he's good he will get paid. WR salaries are very high. Look at somebody like Cristian Kirk
Kirk was 26 when he got paid
Yeah because of the "covid" college rules - a ton of rookies are coming into the league way older than normal. Which messes with the timeline of these guys getting paid entering their prime etc.
in theory, niners have Ricky's prime on the rookie deal.
Kinda sucks for those guys but I feel like we are going to see a lot of them trying to do what Chase (Bengals) is right now, get paid after their third season (the earliest the cba allows on rookie contracts).

And the market for WRs will have ~7 years of growth from that time. He will have a chance to make generational wealth.

if that's true, kid lucked out big time. cause armed robbery and shots being fired would almost guarantee a ton of his life in cali state prison. and the cali state prison system is no joke.

They said at this time they are probably going to try him as a juvenile but that could change after the case is reviewed.

With the college kids now being able to receive endorsements if they're not projecting to be a top pick they might as well stay in school live the college life and get paid. There's some college QBs on their 7th season because of COVID, injuries, transfer portal. There's the Miami TE Cam McCormick who was granted his 9th year !

So he gets to go back to untold street cred and adulation from his respective peers.
Just great.

Pretty sure because he's a minor the case has to first originate in juvenile court but the DA can request to have it moved up.

That's just completely outrageous. It's a serious crime.

Yeah, I'll tell my true story that has some humor to it. San Francisco, circa 1990. Me and my buddy went to a party out in the Avenues near the beach. We were a bit buzzed when leaving. No cell phones so we called for taxi but a 30 minute plus wait as we were not in the busy area of city.
We walked to a liquor store to get something, I think water whatever. There were two obvious lesbians in there. One looked like she could rebuild my house . Small talk, waiting for taxi. They said if we gave them a few bucks for gas we could catch a ride back down to downtown. They were headed that way. We wouldn't have to wait.
A few blocks in, the big gal in passenger seat turned around quickly with a knife and yanked my big expensive gold chain off my neck. The driver stopped and they said get the f**k out. I was drunk and pissed and sort of lunged forward and grabbed her but that knife looked big. My buddy jumped out and left me. Grrr. But you don't know if gun too or whatever. I ended up getting out. But in the moment I tried to fight back and get my chain. It's sort of human nature to try to fight back. But it was ensured. I just needed to show a police report.
It's my favorite I was mugged by a lesbian story and the only time in my life I was mugged. And yes in San Francisco.
that's a pretty wild story
