Not enough is being made of him coming back from being shot and nearly missing the 1st half of his rookie season and now being a weekly contributor already. Most young WR don't get playing time for 1-2 years. Especially under Shanahan.
Its crazy that he could somehow win comeback player of the year in his rookie season.

That last reception was so good. A lot of people were worried about Pearsall's ability to separate against press-man coverage. Not only did he absolutely cook the DB, but he managed to beat him inside despite DB having inside leverage. The kid is a technician with his craft.

So far he separates against everyone except the Chiefs. They have elite cover corners. Elite defensive coordinator and scheme. I don't know how you separate against them but he can against everyone else.

I 100% agree
He can go where he wants to...at will....teams the entire season so far are cutting out the middle of the against the 49ers....Ricky don't care...
Step one to being a high value, productive wr is being able run all the route against all the coverages consistently.
Total keeper so far, small sample size...but he looks good

so far to me he looks like he has solid hands, which is a great thing for a rookie.

He's living up to the hype of being able to create separation, this draft class so far is looking like a near homerun.

I have seen him fairly open on some plays, but he must have been a later read ? But yeah he looks fast

The last Seahawks game was almost 50/50 run-pass and there was good distribution among the pass catchers. I would expect Pearsall to be targeted 4-5 times so it will be interesting to see what he does with those opportunities.
49ers vs. Seahawks (10/10/2024) Catches/Yards
49ers vs. Seahawks (10/10/2024) Catches/Yards
- Deebo Samuel, 3/102
- George Kittle, 5/58
- Brandon Aiyuk, 2/37
- Jauan Jennings, 3/27
- Patrick Taylor, 1/12
- Kyle Juszczyk, 3/10
- Jordan Mason, 1/9

Gonna also be a heavy dose of CMC. Two players Seattle didn't face last game, CMC and Pearsall. Oh s**t!!!
Also hope they elevate Russell Gage. I know he pretty much won't be needed but with the additions of Gage and Nick McCloud, there's no need for Bell already!!!

WR blocking isn't just a phrase in SF, it's culture. Watch Ricky Pearsall(WR to the right, #14) crack block LB Lavonte David, #54. pic.twitter.com/BDuVKQqLNV
