This pick is going to haunt us for a while. We passed on some really good offensive lineman.

Calling it now:

BUST
Oh this is the part where fans are already starting to turn on Ricky just because.

He's had a few games and isn't lightning the world on fire yet so he must suck.

We didn't pass on the good ones. They got picked before we had a chance. Solid reports said the FO wanted Rosengarten but the Ravens took him just ahead of us. Piersall hasn't really had a chance to learn and fit into the system. It will take a full offseason and TC for him to begin to show up.
Bust.

with any luck this offseason is a tonal shift from years past.

I really hope they stick with the basics next season.

I am all for maximizing guys like Deebo and CMC...but when you can't run that stuff without them...the whole offense goes to s**t....

I hope they roll in day one and build out from Ricky and JJ, then mesh in BA when he can be.

I really hope this year was the last of the Deebo gadget, and CMC centric stuff. We should not just abandon screens, and RB check downs because one certain player is out.

and for the love of Pete.... they need some base offense and defense calls that you don't need months of familiarity to run. We are almost at the end of the season, and we still have dudes running wrong routs (or the QB reading the wrong routs), and defenders blowing coverage...

There were quality lineman available at the pick in the first round just not tackles.
We bombed another one.

It's too early to call. He's a rookie who had some unfortunate challenges off the field that were not his fault. Rookies get a pass, first rounders until their 3rd season.
Give him a shot
1 target tonight, 0 catches? Third game in a row he's had 0 catches.

I liked Cooper Dejean or DVondre Sweat. I know a lot of people were high on JPJ or Frazier And we could have likely had them with a trade down to boot.
I mean mckonkey was right there... We just picked wrong again.
Pearsall was an absolute reach - will be an ok player given a chance but this is in line with most of our first round picks.

A lot of us got that one wrong. I was in the middle but wanted o line regardless.
