besides the lining up stuff, I feel like he just doesn't get targeted enough.
I really wanna like this guy.. But this was such a dump pick.. Totally unnecessary and a reach.

Made one great catch in college, got picked 31
Ladd McConkey is better and we could've drafted him.

Even Dante Pettis had a better rookie season

Are you super heroes just completely brain dead to being shot?

get real and grow up.

You think if Ricky wasn't shot in September he lines up in formation correctly in December?

Pick any player in the NFL and you can find a bonehead play this year.

the dude got shot and missed training camp and part of the season.

unless you could perform better maybe throw less stones.

I know that if it was my job I'd line up correctly.

Are you sure? I would be willing to bet that at some point when people ordered a number five with a coke from you you handed them one with a sprite.
Ricky has a nice story but he wasn't worth the pick they spent on him. More importantly he shows that Lynch and Shanahan aren't drafting according to what their teams needs are . . . the draft or lack of it is hurting this team. We'll still suffering from the fiasco that was Trey Lance and Ricky is just another symptom of that.

Well if he's not doing the simple things like lining up, do you think he's doing the more difficult stuff like running the correct routes?

Hankerson ripped him on the sideline - https://youtube.com/shorts/_5MXoLVxuf8?si=SIzG3PemqiGNsNqP

He made plenty of plays when open but cost the team multiple times with those awful illegal formation penalties. Thankfully it's an easy fix he can learn from, but super frustrating nonetheless..
Pearsall has plenty of time to turn it around but as of right now McConkey has just blown by him, lapped him and then Griddy'd in his face.

I think we see the same if Persal was playing with us last year^^

this year is just all bad
He's been a backup for much of the yearand of course missed a lot of practice time early in the year. That may have somethng to do with it. We've seen a lot of mental mistakes from ths team and some of them are very likely because of the lack of reps by all the backups. Plus there's got tobe a lot of frustration on this team with the way the season has gone.

Was a big fan of his too, just wasn't sure about that previous back injury.

I am not surprised we took Ricky over him because we get so enamored with the person sometimes, we will pick the personality over pure ability sometimes.

As an example, say one guy is 10/10 as a person, 7/10 talent and another guy is 8/10 for both, they'll take the slightly lesser player. My opinion anyways.
I truly believe the Niners were going to draft that Worthy kid and KC pulled the same move that the Niners pulled on the Cowboys to get Jerry Rice.
