Well if he's not doing the simple things like lining up, do you think he's doing the more difficult stuff like running the correct routes?

Yes, because there's evidence on tape.

There's actually evidence on tape of him not running the right route. You don't remember the Bears game I guess.

Yea if he has a hard time lining up right there's no way he's getting a bunch of looks. Just can't trust it yet even if he does shake free on some

Yep it's pretty obvious that the QB is not going to have trust in you if you can't do the little things right. Not sure why the Ricky apologists on here have a hard time seeing that.

Ricky looks great out there! Consistently getting open. Always a willing blocker. He has some real burst on the open field. Obviously has to clean up the pre snap flubs, but that will come when he gets actual practice time. Arrow up.

It's Christmas Eve, not April Fools.
Someone needs to lock Shanahan in a dumpster for the first 4 rounds this next year

He got open on a deep pass.

That's something we need.

If Aiyuk can return to pre-injury form, which I'm not sure of, these two can make things happen.

We have so much to fix, though...

How can we call him a bust when guys like Deebo literally has done nothing meaningful all season. The problem isn't with Slick Rick. The problem is the dysfunctionality of this offense combined with me losing a bit of faith in Purdy and Shanahan. I don't know how we magically become a playoff team again next year let alone a #1 seed which has been the standard the past few years.

I've become dismal because there really was not a moment you can hang your hat on this season. Sometimes in losing seasons you can find a few positives. QB? Ehhhh... Rookie class? Puni is good. Sometimes those rookie DBs made some splash plays but I don't see some of the impact we've seen from rookies in the past. Kicking game? No. Aging players and contracts? Check. Potentially career altering or ending injuries? Check to CMC and BA. Creativity on offense? No. Solid defense? Here and there but we set a high standard for that group. Good coordinators? No

That's why my outlook is so bleak. I'm praying we have a good 2025 draft and maybe acquire a game changing FA. There's just not much positivity this year. With that being said I will still cheer my ass off and love the Niners. It's ok as fans to be down on your team but still support them.

Even Dante Pettis had a better rookie season

Are you super heroes just completely brain dead to being shot?

get real and grow up.

You think if Ricky wasn't shot in September he lines up in formation correctly in December?

Pick any player in the NFL and you can find a bonehead play this year.

the dude got shot and missed training camp and part of the season.

unless you could perform better maybe throw less stones.

I know that if it was my job I'd line up correctly.

Are you sure? I would be willing to bet that at some point when people ordered a number five with a coke from you you handed them one with a sprite.

Your first reponse doesn't answer anything. So there's evidence that he does things right and he does things wrong as a rookie, so you then want to punish him when he does thing right by not looking at him or giving him a target when hes open??? Make that make cents. Not sure how I've become a Ricky apologists while coming to this thread and just stating that he doesn't get enough looks.

Like I said make it make CENTS.
Brock could have used Ladd… Shanahan drafted the wrong white boy
