We saw what Aiyuk can do when someone started actually throwing to him.

Ladd has the better QB for sure but Ladd is also just flat out better in every way.
Hard to say when Ricky doesn't get the ball

Hard to get the ball when you're on the sidelines for illegal formation on back to back plays….

I have no idea why they took Pearsall instead but they did and we have to hope he gets better. I assume with a full training camp next season he will. I used to do a lot of pre draft stuff and then on draft day hope the Niners picked the players I liked. I don't bother anymore since it makes no difference. They take who they like. Not who I like. They have their reasons and we all have to live with it.

I don't even think he's bad or played poorly overall. Brock isn't looking for him and the chemistry isn't there this yr.

Ladd was their #1 pass catcher heading into the season by default.

If you can't line up right you probably wore a helmet to kindergarten

He's not looking for him because Brock doesn't trust him. Can't get lined up correctly, can't run the correct routes, won't get the ball thrown to you. It's that simple.

I think we'll see marked improvement in the 2nd year. He'll make a leap.
Should have taken Keon Coleman or one of the Centers. Pearsall types you draft on day 3.

Another do over draft pick. Too bad real teams can't operate like fantasy football.
I wanted the best C available. That would have won us the division imo. Brendel cost us at least 2-3 games by himself.

I agree, Zach Frazier or JPJ was the right pick.

Also Graham Barton the C for the Bucs has been amazing. He was drafted before our pick, though.

Yeah that argument is always fools gold.

I also don't think Ladd would be having anything close to the season he is having in LA. Kyle wouldn't have the offense focus around a rookie WR the way Harbaugh has. Would he of had a better season than Ricky? Oh absolutely but there is a lot more nuance to this discussion than simply Ricky hasn't performed. I loved Ladd in the draft process and would have picked him over Ricky but I'm not throwing Ricky to the side yet.

This Purdy is a rhythm and timing QB, hard to develop chemistry with a guy who missed most of the offseason and then got shot and missed the beginning of the season. We saw how off Aiyuk and Purdy were after missing an offseason together

Yes he will. I mean he got shot and played football the same year. He's got it.

Coleman has been ass this yr and he didn't get shot.

the only center that's been good this yr that was looked at as a top 50 pick was Frazier. JPJ doesn't even play center and has been average. I would have been cool with Tanor Bortolini who has been a solid center that was taken in the 4th.

Folks acting like Ricky sucks or should have been a day 3 pick, clearly didn't watch him at FL or at the Senior Bowl. Kid can play football.

I just preferred Ladd, that doesn't mean I thought Ricky was a horrible pick or has no talent. Folks and their instant gratification
