Kingsley is too big and slow for the type of blocking that Kyle's scheme requires. He's also very green. He may have a good career in KC but if they thought he was a good fit they would have taken him. These guys aren't stupid. They managed to build a team good enough to make it to 4 NFC title games and 2 SBs. Rosengarten was reportedly the guy they wanted in round 2 but the Raven grabbed him one pick before them. Not much they could do.

There were (are) many other teams that need Tackles. Obviously the league in general didn't see Kingsley as some great prospect who dropped. Not saying he'll be good or be trash but this happens every year
When I saw Lynch up at the Washington pro day in a Huskie sweatshirt my brain screamed smokescreen

Going to be 24 as a rookie. We really don't like to draft the younger prospects with room for growth do we.

What are you talking about?

He's 23. Going to be 24 in November. There is a big difference in growth from 20 year olds and 24 year olds. These type of prospects have less upside.

Trey Lance was young

This is the covid class, these guys are 1 to 2 years behind

If we helped the chiefs, that means it was a bad decision. That should be obvious.

We didn't help them. If we wanted that kid we would have stuck but we didn't, we moved back one in that round to move up in another round.

We helped ourselves later on by letting KC get whoever they liked while we still got the kid we liked.

It's not complicated.

Trey Lance was in a covid class also.

I'm just trying to point out, age has little relevance as to how well these picks will turn out.
George Kittle was the same age as all of these guys when the 49ers drafted him.

Cooper Kupp and Joe Burrow too.
Age means absolutely nothing.
Is the player good? Can he be a contributor day one?
Deebo was 23 when he was drafted. Purdy was 22 but he was born in December so he was soon to be 23 years old.
And just because you're a senior and 24 doesn't mean you can't improve.
"In his two years starting, Green was almost exclusively an outside corner, playing more than 1100 snaps outside and only approximately 30 snaps in the slot."

Is he a press man CB or a nickel?

Now that kids are getting paid in college there are going to be many kids staying longer.

I love it. Give me a guy who's developed already and can play now

Shutdown the LSU WRs. He's a dog. I got one pick right in my mock

You predicted this guy? Reading into him, he seems like a stud. He was extremely successful in college, really impressive numbers/performances. I'm hoping it translates.

I had him going a little later (based off a big board I used). But yes I had SF going Green.

I would have had Puni going to SF as well, but I thought he was a top 50ish guy and SF wasn't going to be able to get him. So basically just flipped lol.

we got 3 good players

I like the draft so far, I like what they're adding to the team. Bolstering our offense with a talented pass pro guy and elite speed/route running. Guys that should be able to contribute right away.

if any of them help us get over the hump, thats a win in my book. I like the idea of surrounding Brock with a lot of talent. Nurture him as much as possible going into year three - see what he can do.
