If you watch the replay, you can see how Green was trailing DK on purpose, baiting Geno Smith into the throw, then once he released the ball he accelerated and jumped right in front of the pass. Wiley move for a rookie.

They were saying this on the radio and how impressive that was by the rookie. They stated that when we normally get INTs, it usually because of overthrows or tipped passes BUT the last time a corner jumped a route for INT seems like it's been forever. Impressive play by the young corner.

The coverage Green showed last night, how can they sit him for Yiadom!!! That s**t ain't right!!! His play was the best so far out of all the 49ers CB's!!!

Evan Anderson - more snaps on 1st and 2nd down
Renardo Green - Starting LCB
Isaac Guerendo - more snaps on offense
Malik Mustapha - Might've earned the starting job, but still on the fence with him. I still think they should trade for a Safety.

I know he is getting shine today due to the int. But can somebody who paid attention tell me how he looked on all his other snaps?

Im a bit biased because college film really makes me feel he should be an outside corner and not a slot corner
Hes not as good with quick change of direction perpendicular to the field, ie quick outs, in routes, etc

The garbage time TD was on him, and there was a snap where DK got the first down out of the slot on him via a quick move.
Other than that, I think he kept DK and Lockett in check for the night. PFF said hes allowed 50 yards or so in coverage.

Still he has to get snaps. The entire starting CB room is UFAs next year. He's extremely promising and needs to play. I think Yiadom wont be back and also one of Mooney/Lenoir or even both may be gone. Let the kid develop.
He sure has some fire in him.

Excellent draft pick.
Green didn't bait anyone, DK decided to abandoned the route and run upfield when he saw more open turf and Geno was late to throw.

But absolutely let the man play over Yiadom. At least he gets rep and learn and can't do no worse than Yiadom.

Green…dawg. Puni…dawg. Mustapha…dawg.

I wanna see more of him vs KC, the Nard-dog, Lenoir and Moose are the future of this secondary

There is the thing. We see one good int and get over hyped. coaches put together everything they have seen since TC and make a decision based on that. It would seem that Yiadom should be on the bench but watch them roll him back out there.

Just re-watched the 4th Qtr. last game….he looked good with that INT and played well throughout the game. On that very late TD to Lockett, he was right there but Lockett pushed off of him at the top of the route while in the end zone. I slowed that play down & Lockett definitely extended the arms in pushing off, then immediately turned around for the TD catch.

No doubt lockett pushed off. Refs don't call that .... Unless it's against us in the sb. Trash refs
