He and his agent wanted a SB ready team to take notice, hence purposely missed many tackles in hopes that 49ers would draft him

I feel like this guy has the best chance out of all the rookies to hit the field this year.

I mean i expect Ricky to play this yr
Mos Def

Pretty Ricky had everyone thinking we're getting rid of Deebo/BA lol

How much playing time would he get with Deebo, Aiyuk and Jennings still on the team? I can't see him having much of an Impact In his rookie year unless someone gets Injured.

I heard he missed like 6 tackles, I guess statistically that may be a lot? He performed high grades in the run game defense and coverage. I like the pick. Has the chance to be a real thumper and tone setter. I've read he has a great/funny personality - which can help the guys stay grounded
This dude clocked 23mph gps in a game

Deebo misses games every year due to injury. Slick Rick will play.

Yeah he missed a few, comes with the territory with this type of player. He's a downhill, aggressive type safety that hits with violence. He's a Dre Greenlaw of the secondary.
So is he more of a strong safety or free or both?

The guys will be helping him stay grounded. He's a rook.
Don't know much about Mustapha. The more I read/hear/watch highlights, I like what I'm learning and feel he can be a very good player for this team. I am wondering:

1) Is he a better prospect than Jaden Hicks, the S who was taken just a few picks after Mustapha?

2) Will Mustapha be better than say a guy like Tartt, who was also a fast S and pretty good tackler playing close to the LOS?

I thought this was our best pick tbh.
I love these draft day calls.

Strong safety

I think the 'strong' and 'free' safety labels are outdated. It made sense when the league-wide trend was the Pete Caroll Cover3, but the current schemes don't pigeon hole safeties into these two buckets - a safety must be able to do both, get into a run fit and also operate in open space. Every team will call Cover3 during gameday, and so you'll get one safety in the box and one as the middle deep safety. But they need to be interchangeable so that when it's not Cover3, neither are a noticeable liability.

An example is Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor. It's obvious which was the strong safety. If Kam was playing in today's schemes, he would get roasted playing Quarters. SEA never played Quarters during the peak LoBoom days.
