Not complaining Mason played great but you can't deny 29 touches is to much when we don't give our drafted back not 1 carry

The dude was warmed up and trucking. You don't pull him and try a rookie when the momentum is rolling in your favor.

This is what, seventh year of Kyles reign and people still asking this. Kyle wants everyone whos stepping in to be prepared and completely on the same page. There will be some exceptions for guys like Trent and such, but rookies just don't play much. Look how long it took them to groom Mason.

This isnt necessarily a bad thing nor a good thing, it just is. Sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad. Guerendo isnt ready to get carries by Kyles standards. He missed most of camp and had like one preseason game + a week of practice after.

Same reason why Cowing wasnt really much on the field either but guys like Ronnie Bell and Conley were. Kyle is very conservative in that regard, so anyone who has practiced a lot and knows the system will always be one step ahead of those who don't.
Early on Mason and Deebo were splitting reps. It wasn't until Mason got hot that Shanny kept with him.

It's very similar to when we had guys like Mostert, Breida, Wilson Jr etc. Often once a guy got hot we'd keep rolling with him.

Ok don't say that when CMC comes back and he's in a zone

He played Great but you got know 29 touches is just to much especially when you could tell the game was over by the 4th quarter

clearly it was not....dude finished fine....

when trying to ice a game away, why would you pull out a hot back, and put the ball in a rookie's hands, one who also had limited reps during training camp?

29 carries is really not that large a number...Terrell Davis use to get it 23-25 times a game average...this was one game...hardly an earth shattering amount of carries given the circumstances with CMC being a last min scratch.

Heck Eric Dickerson averaged 27 carries a game over an entire season..

heck having looked it up...there are are 80+ games of 35 or more......probably 100+ games with backs that have carried the ball 29 or more times in a game.....

Then don't be the posting on here if CMC gets that amount of touches but wait CMC never got that the most he got in a regular season game is 27 touches and usually 5 or 7 of that total will be pass receiving were your not taking a big hit from the d-line and we're not going to give the rookie the chance in the 4th when you could see that the Jets were done then don't complain when the coaches don't want to take CMC the NFL Offense Player of the year out to put in Mason who wasn't even drafted
To be fair Mason is built to take more punishement than CMC, different body types.

I'm sure Bettis used to get like 30 carries a game, and Eddie George.
Why was Guerendo not returning kicks? They had Deebo out there. Is it because he is coming off a groin injury?

Don't worry, I won't. CMC was the OPOY last year, if he's eating KS will continue to use him. Mason might get some more attempts now that he showed he can wear a defense down.

Maybe he's just not a very good player.
