He should not have slide. Our redzone offense is still not good. What if we have to kick a field goal and miss? It would be Wish kicking the FG, so the chance of a miss short FG is not incredibly low.

He doesn't have Mostert's vision though.
He doesn't have Mostert's quickness and speed either. He has good top speed but not close to Mostert level.

it wouldn't have been Wish. Wright kicks FGs.

Ok. Wright must got injured in the kick off after the TD. I got mixed up on the timing.

In a way, him being tackled short of the endzone forced Seattle to use a timeout.

it was a good slide, the kid was thinking.. good logic for a rookie..
this kid is different from any RBs we've had.. maybe he'll be like Roger Craig on how he gets better as the game goes on.. battery does not run low..
he aint physical w/speed like Derrick Henry but G-Boy gots speed.. the more I think of all the RBs I've seen since 81.. the more I'd compare him to:
Herschel Walker
Johnnie Johnson (Cards/49ers - before back problem)
OJ Anderson (Cards)

It looked like he just got caught to be honest. Watching the replay several times. But I don't know. Pride is making him say that. He possibly could have taken it off the gas a little. But his legs did get tripped up. He didn't slide on his own. If you watch it.

It's common sense he should try to score there. It's a 2 score lead. Instead of a 1 score lead. Shanahan is capable of choking away 1 score leads easily.

You obviously didn't listen to Deebo or Shanahan. He was told to go down and thus he did

Either is possible. But he definitely got tripped up. Rather than slide on his own. Anyway it was an excellent breakaway run and we won the game. So it worked out fine. But I would like to see him score. No matter the time a 2 score game is better than 1. They still had timeouts and some clock. So a 1 score game could be vulnerable. Where 2 scores was not. The backup kicker is good but he's not guaranteed either. Plus if he had made one it's an 8 point game. Instead of 5. Still within a TD and 2 point conversion. There is just no reason at all not to want a 12 point lead instead of 5. NONE.

if you are trying to run forward, and tripped from behind, you're gonna be falling on your face or going down in that manner. not sliding feet first.

Once he has his mind made up about something no facts will change that.
