We knew this in preseason and during the draft with him and pearsall.
Shanahan can't play them unless forced though because they don't know all 10000 plays in the playbook...
It forces him to adjust in game to the players ... That's too hard for shanahan.

Jacob Cowing with some nasty start-stop on the vertical route. Fourth-round pick out of Arizona was an excellent route runner in college and so explosive pic.twitter.com/TgUVD0dfIG

Both these guys are going to have to step up big and make plays.

Ronnie Bell needs to just not play anymore on offense.

Brock's arm obviously ain't great, but he's also never played with a WR like Cowing. The other receivers don't separate vertically like that, so it probably caught him off guard seeing Cowing separating so quickly. Brock will learn to get started earlier and anticipate it a bit better the more he plays with Cowing.
Which leads to the point: play the damn kid, Shanny.

He shouldn't be losing out snaps to Bell and Conley. We know who both of them are and Cowing should be getting snaps over both of them at this point.

amen, shanny knows the WR position. look at Puka as a rook. why can't we have concepts and coaching to get these rooks playing some real ball. on the coach to simplify the game, gets these kids going on instinct.

His arm is fine. But not a rocket. Probably not used to a guy getting out there that fast. In the NFL the greater sin is to throw TOO FAR. 100% incomplete. A slightly short throw still results in a 40, 45, 50, 55 yard completion. Still a huge play. But not a TD. If our redzone wasn't so much of a disaster we should be able to punch it in. Completion for the bomb is always much better than not having it. Having it go all the way for a TD is icing on the cake. But the bigger mistake is not completing it at all. Throwing it too far.

Agree. At this point these 2 are going to need to thrown in and get substantial snaps. Can't get any worse than bell annd what's going on now with the offense and they bring different skillsets to the table that niners currently don't have.

That speed pops off the screen. We badly need it.
