Brock's arm obviously ain't great, but he's also never played with a WR like Cowing. The other receivers don't separate vertically like that, so it probably caught him off guard seeing Cowing separating so quickly. Brock will learn to get started earlier and anticipate it a bit better the more he plays with Cowing.

Which leads to the point: play the damn kid, Shanny.

No. Brock just doesn't have the arm required to make that throw.

He can, and has, made that throw.
Brock's got the arm for those throws. No doubt. He just under threw them

Cowing is our best separator and get him some damn jet sweeps and screens. For f**k sake Kyle, play a rookie and watch the impact he has.

I've loved this guy since we drafted him and think he could be better than Pearsall

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the immediate separation the chiefs had on their jet sweeps

Sweeps don't exist in this offense anymore. I see chiefs do it 3-5 a game but for us it's 2, 3x per year or something.

I want to see more of Cowing on the field. He can only get better. Don't keep speed on the bench use it.

I've been wondering what the hell happened to the jet sweeps for years now. Kyle abandoned them after 2019 season. I don't get it. Sean McVay still dials them up.

There's no reason Jacob Cowing can't thrive in this offense doing the Deebo stuff(ie tunnel screen, jet sweeps, smoke screens, etc). We've seen it before with Taylor Gabriel. All of the easy button stuff that Shanny does with Deebo(except the RB stuff) he did with Taylor Gabriel in Atlanta. The added element is that Gabriel and Cowing are legitimate downfield threats.

Exactly 👍🏻

I have been noticing the same also. To me Kyles offensive scheme was more inventive back when he had Bethard and Mullens and Hoyer at the QB position. I think he schemed more to make up for the lack of talent he had on the team at that time. But I would like to see more of that now.

I also think this is true. Feels like Kyle is now more reliant on his guys to make the plays instead of scheming up something creative.

A prime example of that type of scheming was the Monday night game against the Rams when Hoyer was at the QB spot. Can't remember the year.

How about against Carolina the year the Panthers had a winning record early in the season? I believe it was 2019. I remember Luke Keuchly melting down because we threw a TE screen that went for a TD that completely faked out everyone. It was a thing of beauty!

Yes. That's what this offense needs some trickery. Better scheming.
The first time they used them he goes deep for the bomb. Just like preseason. But Shany prefers Bell. Only stockpiles of injuries even got him onto the field. Just shows how dumb Shany is.

Yep. Seen it a few times. Started a few years back against Washington at home and against Tampa comes to mind. How many air yards is good enough for some folks?
