Re: Trent Williams — he has no guaranteed money left on his contract, similar to the CMC situation before that restructure. If Williams' absence today is contract related, the 49ers can execute a similar win-win with Williams that improves their salary-cap flexibility

I wonder if all the time off causes this. I'm not sure but it seems like there were less of these types of injuries back in the day when coaches could work these guys during the off season.
