I don't think he was trying to prove anything beyond just giving him some live snaps against an actual opponent, especially since they cancelled the practice sessions with the Saints.

yeah, idk. kinda odd. I guess to get him some live game reps before the season but he threw them out there with literally all backups to just get hit a few times and no one able to get open. lol
