  • Jets D is pretty good
  • Saleh probably knows where to attack our offense but I guess shanny would know how to attack Salehs D as well
  • CMC isn't 100%
  • Some will say we have Rogers number but it's still Rogers

We should be fine as long as Brock doesn't have some turnovers.

If anyone has ESPN+/ESPN2 Manning and Bill Belichick have an episode of their newest show about how our team matches up with the Jets. Players to watch out for. Strategies.

Bill Belichick said to stay away from Sauce Gardner in the redzone/goal line. Nothing really worth trying to attack him on with little space. His size and arm lenth nullifies any fades... could run some whip or shake routes. Bill said to match up our weakest WR on Sauces side...and the rest of the recievers on the opposite side....and take advantage of a mismatch.

Good thing we basically never run fades in the red zone!
Heros or Goats?

Just feels like a let down game. Salah returning with his best team yet (in NY) and Aaron Rodgers coming home off what should have been a career ending injury with one last chance to play in NorCal in front of all his people against the team that ruined his draft dreams.

Multiple of our star players have barely practiced, it's been an offseason of nothing but distractions and to top it off, our 1st rounder is lucky to be alive.

That spinning CMC run down the sidelines with BA out in front laying dudes out with blocks in Pittsburgh seems like 10 years ago and that fluke Greenlaw achilles tear still hurts like lacquer thinner in a fresh cut.

I can see a Jets win and it wouldn't be surprising or an upset.

Hopefully Kyle doesn't run CMC 145 times, 3 consecutive times in a row like usual and hopefully there's still enough cohesion with the offense to play well against a strong NY defense.

Win or lose, please no injuries.
I suspect this game will be a struggle for us on both sides of the ball and would not be shocked if we lost.

We might own Rodgers in the playoffs hes always played well against us in regular season.

Main concerns for me.

1. The lack of run stopping on the D. Breece Hall is going to gash us.

2. Pass rush depth questionable we will be relying on Bosa and Flloyd.

3. Aiyuk/Purdy connection may be rusty with Aiyuk sitting out camp

4. Health of CMC. We win this game by running the ball.

5. Special Teams. Going to be a nerve jangling experience on how we defend kick offs. And there is Jake Moody to worry about.

I hope no major injuries and that the team ends the season stronger than when they started the season. First game of the season- the offense is way behind the defenses. It's going to be an ugly 49er offense that we see today as they knock off the offseason rust.

Rodgers hasn't played meaningful football in two seasons. He didn't play in preseason. He's coming off an injury and won't be nearly as mobile.

Kirk Cousins came back from injury and looked terrible yesterday. Game 1 is the best time to face a QB like Rodgers. He'll be a much better QB in week 10. The Jets will be a much better team then.
Today is the mofkn day!!

I agree. This is the best time to play him.

javon Kinlaw is their main run stopper and he's gained 30lbs.

I think Brock will look sharp with Deebo, CMC, and Kittle and work into the Aiyuk relationship that they already have built for two years.

I think we will see more Jordan Mason too - which will help a lot with the ground and pound.

our defense will get a handful of turnovers for our offense to capitalize on. If we can score touchdowns and not field goals - we can win this game convincingly.
key will be our run game and run defense.

we got this! Going to be a great Monday night opener in Levi's!
Its GameDay wooooot woooooooooooooooot!!!!
Why some negativity? Insane squad. At home under the Monday Night lights. Kyle ready to take the offense back after a fun little break preseason.

Brock contract season on tap. Gonna tear it up.

Can't wait! Let's go!
I'm excited but I hate hateeee night games. Game basically ends at 1130 over here. And then I have to be to work at 5am sharp lol

That's one advantage of living on the west coast. The night games start at 5:30. I remember when Monday Night Football first started. Bars everywhere would put out finger food, tacos or hot dogs just to bring people in to watch. It was a big deal. On the East Coast it was already 8:30 so not such a big deal.
