Is that a QB or O-lineman in the red 49ers hat and sweater?

The chef. Wonder where Dobbs was?
I hope I can see the game live. Apparently Directv and Disney are having issues and I may lose ESPN tonight. Hopefully it will be resolved.
I wonder how current events will impact the game

Not having Trent is a huge blow to the offense or team in general. Not having Trent Williams weakens the run game and if you struggle at running the ball you can't control the clock like Shanahan loves to do. I won't even bring up pass protection, cause it's a lost cause without TW.

Pearsall getting injured sucks for his development, because it sets him back even more. They already said they were gonna ease him in, now he's gonna miss at the very least a month and a half, if not the whole regular season. He can't catch a break as a Pro.

Where are you geting the info on how much time he's going to miss? Is it your opinion or do you have a real source?

My opinion, because I consider a shot in the chest pretty serious. I wasn't there so I'm assuming the worst.

Kind of depends how much muscle damage there was. I'm sure he will be in pain for a while and may have some movement issues with raising his arms and such. Not really sure when we can expect him, but maybe at least 4 weeks.

Pearsall getting shot - Little to none. It's still Aiyuk, Deebo, and Jennings as the wideouts. Pearsall has been in a blue non-contact jersey in practice because of his shoulder subluxation. The team will examine him in the next couple of days and determine how long he'll be out. They could IR him and shut him down for the year, allowing him to get the surgery to address his shoulder subluxation instead of waiting until next offseason.

Trent holding out into week 1 - Major downgrade from Williams to Moore. Both pass and run game will be affected.

Gives him time to heal the shoulder that likely wasn't anywhere close to being fully healed. I still think the plan was for them to put him on IR and that's why they put 7 WR's on the 53. you are not allowed to practice once you are put on IR, So maybe they wanted him to run some route's before doing that because there was no risk of doing further damage aslong he is not getting hit. Or maybe they were just planning on not having him active on gameday until he is fully healthy. That way he can still practice with the team daily in a blue non contact jersey.
The Jets are a really good team and this is far from an easy win. They have a great defense and we have really struggled with that, even with Purdy. They have a 1b to Mcaffery's 1a RB, a great QB, great WR and a great CB. This is a pick'em game IMO. We're going to get an early glimpse into whether this is a Super Bowl hangover season or not. Brock is going to put straight into fire week 1. We're going to know right away if SF's run defence will remain a huge liability.

As a sports fan I wouldn't have it any other way.

We just brought Sam O back (practice squad).if he is brought up for this game it'll be interesting to watch him against either tackle who are both over 6'5" and in there 30s. Sam O had a good camp and a great game against the Raiders. Being that he's 6'1" and 270 he would present a different dimension than what most tackles are used to.

Didn't the chiefs lose to the lions in week 1 last year? This game (win or lose) isn't going to tell us much about what our sb prospects are
