Schrader did not look special to me.....this team has dropped all kinds of random backs into the backfield with success...Schrader did not show me anything to think a random dude could not do the same....

Keeping Taylor at RB, is a meh move.....but he is an NFL level RB...not a highlight machine....but he looks like an NFL RB. Dude was averaging 4.4 yards a carry as a change of pace type back on GB. Considering how much draft capital gets poured into RB here...it is kinda crazy he could even find a home here.

Kingston hurts...I hate that...I get that you need xyz amount of guards...and you STILL have to bring Trent back at some point....but I hate it.

I guess the plan was ALWAYS to move him to the PS...I am thinking maybe you if you draft a guy with the sole intention of putting him on the practice squad...maybe you dont show him off in preseason games.

We hear all the time how much more important time at practice is then the preseason games....well if you draft a guy, you have no intent on keeping on the roster, and he looks good in practice...don't put the dude in preseason games were the rest of the NFL can look at him.

Losing Kingston totally sucks.

Pretty good chance Sheets is my RB1 on the Niners' all-time preseason team. Coffee RB2.

Schrader, was hoping he'd show a little more - didn't think he looked that bad in the preseason. Was rooting for him after seeing him run at Missouri plus the all-out effort he gave.

One of my first thoughts, too, about Latu. Also, instead of Martin was hoping Chosen would be on the PS for extra speed/ability/experience at WR.

There were always going to be three QBs. Experience dictated that. It was just a matter of who was #3. F-F has been a solid backup LB and an excellent ST guy. Keeping him fills two spots and saving a spot for someone else. I'm just sorry that spot didn't go to Kingston.

Every year teams have to try to sneak a guy onto the Practice Squad and it usually works. However, this is the second year we have lost a promising OL (Illm Manning). At least we kept Drake Nugent. He has the stuff to take over at Center next year, IMO.

That's a good practice squad.

We could use a LB, RB, CB and some OL help that are any good on the practice squad!
