Are we better this year than last?

What has this team done to address Mr. Mahomes and the Chiefs assuming the 49ers get there?
Like some of you, been waiting since 95 for "the year". I was lucky enough to see them in 1994 and it was amazing.
Anyway, hoping this is the season.
Let's not just assume KC will get the 3 peat for the SB..though, I feel like a "fix" might be in for that /j, sorta haha. Might be Ravens..might be Texans..Bills possibly. Totally done with KC! Go away lol. At least we finally found gold with BP. ✨️🪙🌟
Too soon to know if we are better

We'll find out soon enough.
Probably. The Niner's are better provided Purdy progresses as expected. Full off season. Better understanding of the offense.
On paper the starters are better assuming TW comes in, If not stick a fork in it.

In reality health will play a huge part, and you know our luck there....

I think Purdy will improve further and is my main hope for this team winning it all. He's legit imo.

Have other teams in the NFC improved? It's so hard to get to the end that the odds are it won't happen.
Dline is better.
Health at the end is what's needed but I feel we have gotten better

we upgraded on paper at
WR
RB
RG
IDL
Edge
CB
DC
AHC

If Kyle's team avoided any major injuries to the starters in the past, he'd have a 2-0 Superbowl record.
I think so, the secondary is much better and Brock has another year of experience under his belt. No Greenlaw will be felt. he's that good

With, we are better, particularly in the secondary.

In the end, it is all about staying healthy, at least for key starters. We can lose some depth and compete but we can't lose TW, and any other star player and get past Detroit and Green Bay.
Not without Trent Williams. No. Ask again after he signs and comes in.
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I guess we will see in the Jets game how the left side holds up. I want to see Brock run an offense when he's not running for his life all the time.
I think we are (assuming TW returns soon)

only possible downgrades:

TE depth is thinner
Edge depth is thinner, but Floyd is the best starting DE we've had opposite Bosa since a healthy Dee Ford
LBs will be worse until Greenlaw comes back, but Campbell is better than Burks... and Winters and Robinson have improved

..but
OL is better because of Puni, but TW might take a few weeks to return to All-Pro form (OT depth is still scary)
WRs and DBs are way better and deeper
DTs are deeper, and AA was always hurt

edit: and most importantly, I think Brock Purdy is gonna be even better
