For those of you who go to games, and more specifically those of you who tailgate at games, have you seen the new policy that they're going to force you to park in specific areas as you enter the lots?? This is absolutely ridiculous. Email your ticket reps and let them know this needs to change!!

lol they did. Look for the 2023 email saying the same s**t. Last year our tailgate crew would meet up before and caravan in so we wouldn't get split up. It fell apart towards the end. I'm in Green Lot 1

I've been parking in the same spot with the same people in green lot 1 since the stadium opened and have never entered at the same time as anyone else in the group... With that said, we're always there at gate opening, maybe they just didn't enforce it before?

So was I. They did do it last year for people who arrived somewhat early in Green Lot 1. We had to wait until the first guy was parked to find out which pole the tailgate was going to be at. Previously it was always at the same pole.

Arriving later on, you could get to where you wanted to be without much difficulty.

They sent the email out on 10/7/23. but like you said, enforcement died out and we also went back to normal.

I think the same will happen. They will try to enforce it until they just give up

How are you supposed to have a tailgate like that? You want to group together. I understand club seats and boxes should get more premium parking. But just regular tickets? That's dumb.
Their reasoning for this is too allow the people who get there late to find parking more easily. In order to try and do this they have to minimize the parking spots fans take up for their tailgate setup and honestly I get it, there are some fans who get a little carried away they have a 3 car group but take up too 10 parking spots.

Some bean counter trying to ruin a great tradition. Let them get carried away with the spaces. It's a part of this game that makes it special. I hate bean counters. They already make enough $$$ at HO.
And for the folks that run late, that's on them.
Let's party.
I'm flying out for the game. I'll be in Blue Lot 1!!

You meet up at some other place and caravan into the parking area. You can still get the space you need to tailgate. The changes are intended to stop people from coning off multiple parking spots for members of their group that arrive late. When they arrive late, they have to drive through the populated parking lot to get to the reserved spot being held by their party.

There is also the change capping the noise levels. This is a good thing as in recent years, there has been an arms race in who can drown out everyone else and turn the entire parking lot into their personal nightclub. It made listening to the early games impossible if you were near one of these parties.

Yeah I agree you can't take up 10 spots for 3 cars parking. That's stupid too. Probably even more problematic. Just make it small and reasonable. But you should be able to be with your friends.
