you can tweak stuff at any moment. these guys in order to play at the highest level are conditioning all the time, even if not playing actual games. russ had a similar tweak and lost his week 1 start

Read today that this has been bothering him since last season. I mean that doesn't sound good. Dre Greenlaw was dealing with Achilles tightness/soreness late last season and you see how that worked out. My question is did they know McCaffrey was having lingering effects before his restructure?
