Hopefully, he doesn't stay down too long for media/injury report nonsense. He had a great night and should be proud.

Good win! But are we good enough to beat the Chiefs? I'll be asking this every week.

-Run defense is light years better than last year
-Secondary is too talented despite that mistake by the safeties
-Mason is baby-beast mode
-Purdy is finding the balance between staying in the pocket and using his legs at the right time
-Silverback didn't allow a single pressure with only one week of practice
-Warner is in mid-season form
-We can run to the right side now!!
-Floyd looks explosive
The best of all: Puni is a freaking beast!!!!!!

Sounds like someone is saying that Jordan Mason was told he would be starting on Friday. Are people sure about that? Maybe he was just told he needs to be ready that he could possibly have to start. That's not the same thing.
Agreed. And, definitely not the same thing.

The Jets allowed eight (8!) straight scoring drives. How rare is that? First time over the last 45 seasons for the #Jets, per @EliasSports. That's as far back as their records go in this category.

I saw. Damn that sucks but I understand from the organizations perspective. You never know what the punishment will be.
This is his first breakout game, he hasn't had a lot of media training. But I'm sure the players will help him up. But damn I felt bad cause he deserved a lot of love.

It's a possibility but he was asked point blank when did you know you were going to start, he paused a few seconds to think about it, and said Friday night.
So odds are they told him he was going to start on Friday night and obviously they weren't going to announce to the world that Mason was starting Monday so the Jets wouldn't have time to prepare.
They won't get punished for anything because telling Mason he's starting on Monday isn't saying CMC is out for certain. They could easily spin it as yeah Mason was going to start but if CMC was able to go we were going to have him active to be an emergency option or get him a couple touches to ease him back in.
It's honestly not a big deal because I guarantee every team engages in this kind of gamesmanship to varying degrees. They all play coy and are evasive about injuries unless the injury is pretty clear cut that the guy can't play.

It's dumb, media is so trigger happy these days. Never said CMC was out..who cares.

Maiocco said he spoke to reporters in the locker room after and everything is ok
