SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at MINNESOTA VIKINGS - 2024 Season Game 2

The issue with Huff is that coverage isn't his strong suit as well.

We lack, have for a while really, safeties who are good at coverage, and teams exploit that.

With the score 20-14, and the 49ers needing to get a stop, the secondary did jack s**t and let the Vikings, minus Justin Jefferson, go on a 6 minute drive to effectively end the game.

They gave up multiple 3rd down (all game really) conversionson that drive, which ultimately ended in a FG.

They gave up a 97yd TD pass that was a killer as well. That at minimum was a 4 point swing (if Kyle had opted for the FG).

Did Brock play his best game, no, but the secondary consistently let Viking drives continue by failing to stop them (especially on 3rd down).

Kyle should've went for the FG then since the playcalling he made there was garbage. This loss is mostly on him with all the poor playcalling he called today.

As assembled, coached and as playing, will not even make the playoffs

Was Odom benched or injured? He looked lost in zone

He's a special teams player. He's an awful safety. Brown is a below average safety as well. They have a lot of problems in that backend of the secondary
Yep should've added a solid vet to the mix
Darnold's agent should lobby for an extension for his client before he comes crashing back down to earth.

We have a bunch of strong safeties, and no true free safety.

You think Brock played a good game ? Get your eyes checked. He was not himself today. Not by a long shot. We both know he is much much better than what he showed today. Don't be dense.

28 for 36 is 78% comp. How do you complete nearly 80% of your passes with 36 attempts if you're off? His pass protection wasn't good, and the Vikings are a great defense. Not sure what you expected. If this great defense had been able to contain SAM DARNOLD we would've won.

Brock made plays when he needed to. This loss wasnt his fault. The secondary was to blame for this one first, then shanny's go for it on 4th down calls second.

Had the TD on that 4th down if the ball isn't tipped. Game of inches, man. Game of inches.

He was far from perfect but the Defense tops the list of who to blame.

Just like the O-line they neglect the Safety position too.
The Vikings blanketed our receivers today. Not a lot guys open today. Brock had to throw pinpoint passes into tight windows.

I've heard this every single year.

100 percent the right call to go for it. It didn't work and the D had an egregious mistake to compound it.

having the offense at their own goal line is an advantage for the d. 2nd longest td in Vikings history, lol. Unacceptable.

They called him aloud on that on air lmao. Green was like yeah he starts off hot then is terrible lmao
I would stop paying players that hold out through all of camp.
