Was Odom benched or injured? He looked lost in zone

He's a special teams player. He's an awful safety. Brown is a below average safety as well. They have a lot of problems in that backend of the secondary
Yep should've added a solid vet to the mix

Just like the O-line they neglect the Safety position too.
They certainly did this year

Brown needs to be benched. I really hope they trade for a Safety, all the good ones on the market are gone.

I think I'll be that way until CMC is back. On passing downs, we have no pass catching threat out of the backfield so the D doesn't have to account for him much and the safety can stay in coverage

Brock looked frantic in the pocket today very indecisive on when to throw or run, really hoping it's a one off

He completed 78% of his passes and turned a lot of Shanahans s**t play calls into actual completions looking "frantic"

if the 49ers played a real offense, they would have gotten boat raced. The 49ers will really have to gameplan for Stafford next week. My god D Campbell really sucks. They need to put someone else in at LB… but they won't.
At times watching this game, I felt like I was watching a Niners game from like 20 years ago lol.

It won't. Shanahan can't just commit to the running game. Mason was crushing them and he opens the game with 5 straight passes.

Yep two years of good play and two NFC title games and a superbowl thrown out the window after one bad game(some think it was not me). Can we trade him tomorrow?

I'm afraid you're right and that points to a whole lot of wasted money at that WR position.

Yea didn't like that to start, but beyond the first drive I thought some penalties really took us out of position to lean on the run game. Again, just a sloppy game.

OK, your point.

The safeties were letting the Vikings do whatever the hell they wanted, especially on 3rd down.

Time of possession doesn't win games, preventing the other team from scoring does (which is what the defense couldn't do).

They had 23 points, you act like they had 40. The QB didn't make the plays he needed to.

To add to your point, teams don't usually win losing the TOP. Of course they want to stop the other team from scoring, but there's strategy involved and discipline. Brown and Odum didn't show that.

As assembled, coached and as playing, will not even make the playoffs

I've heard this every single year.

Can't wait to see what Ricky can do.

One how was Mason crushing them before the game started? Two mason had 20 carries, how many more would of won us the game? The run game kinda has to disappear when you are behind in the 4th by multiple scores.
