SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at MINNESOTA VIKINGS - 2024 Season Game 2

Definitely wasnt a lot of separation but it was kind of the same last game. Lack of separation means you need to make the right reads and then adjust. Did so masterfully last game, although sure- Jets dline was pedestrian- this game, not so much.

The exotic/unpredictable packages that Flores brings are another factor imo. Its the same patter as the Min game last year, same as Baltimore last year. Brock is a cerebral QB and they really messing with his head. Kyle and him need work against defenses like that.

Terrible performance but look at Baltimore, Dallas, Detroit, and the Chiefs right now.

The lack of separation seems like the major issue to me especially when you take in to account the money their making.
The coverage and tackling were darn near perfect, and that doesn't happen often. I really hope Brock can learn from these multiple look defenses because it reminded me alot of Baltimore last year. The looks he is getting from the D. Schematically is causing just enough hesitation to cause major issues.
Our safeties are BAD

I didn't see Purdy throw the ball right to any wide open linebackers???

His first pick was effectively throwing it right to a linebacker. Guy just deflected it instead of catching it and walking it in for 6.

it is what it is. Tough game for him.

Didn't Mustapha look better after Odum was pulled ?
This is a day that you just shake your head and say you can't win them all. At least we didn't look as bad as others, Cowboys,Ravens, and others. You know it's a crazy day when Kyler M in Arizona has a perfect 158.3 rating.

He completed close to 80% of his passes. I don't know if its messing with his head as much as it messes with the OL. Look how many completely free runners the defense got unabated to the QB today.
