This is unfortunately very true.

Watching the Texans tonight losing slowik and Ryan's hurt this team. Slowik is a good play caller.

We struggled on 3rd down. With BA rounding into shape, our receivers looked slow today. I'd get Cowing involved..at least he's got some wiggle.

This. Brock was either holding it too long because no one was open or he was rushed due to pressure. We need speed and route runners that get open.

Exactly hard to throw the ball when no one is open. Kyle needs to scheme a little better.

It absolutely hinders this offense him simply being on the field opens thing up for others and it's hard to get a guy in Aiyuk that's been MIA more involved.

It does to a degree but if you can't figure out how to open it up without him then how good of a playcaller are you? Remember 2019 when the offense took off? Kyle needs to be more creative and I understand that players need to execute as well.
I think he's overrated atleast slightly as a play caller but even with that said without CMC on the field as the focal point you see the inability of these Wrs to get any consistent separation magnified.
Is it me or is our re-assembled D - line still not getting the Job Done?
We do not get enough consistent pressure and same today also.

Hargreaves has been a bad signing. No impact at all

Hard to get pressure when guys are getting open immediately and your being held constantly.

Hope you're right.
Minnesota certainly seems to have our number at their house. Hard to believe we haven't beaten them there in over 30 years. Glancing through some of the other threads it's easy to be reminded of why I don't post much here anymore, all of the usual bedwetting and whining.

D line could be a little better but it's not our issue.

Coverage whether it's execution or what's being called is a much bigger issue.

I rewatched and skimmed through the game to see the Vikings' 3rd downs and I'm nowhere near professing to be a film expert etc but most of the conversions I'd say were on the coverage not the pass rush. I'd say the defensive line screwed up on two 3rd downs by not containing Darnold and giving him scrambles for big runs.

3rd and 13 right before the half where a stop would keep it a 10-7 game? Jefferson is wide open down the middle for 16 yards and Darnold has the ball out of his hand in 3 seconds.

Every 3rd down conversion in the Vikings final drive was on the coverage.

We're just giving up an unacceptable number of easy completions for having 7 guys dropped into coverage.
Rams may now also be without Cupp

Hide and watch....Stafford shreds this $#!T secondary with no name WRs and TEs. K. Williams will run like Eric Dickerson.

They might be using a roster of backup receivers and Oline as starters by the time we play.
