No, the Safeties are garbage.

Quotes like that are juvenile. They got beat by possibly the best WR in football. That makes them garbage in your mind. Pitiful.

You serious, CM, have you not been watching the past two games. Missing tackles, miscommunication, out of position, you name it, they're everything I don't want in a Safety. How many more games are you willing to risk before you say, okay it's time to pull them. They've been cheap and neglected the position long enough.

I'm not saying they didn't have a bad game or maybe they aren't as good as other safeties. I just think calling any player garbage or trash is juvenile. These guys bust their butt all week. Way more than any of us does. To reach a level where they can play in the NFL is an accomplishment that none of us has ever even approached. Going into this season the talk was this was the best defensive backfield the team has had in years. One of the best and fastest WRs in the league beats the safety and Darnold throws a perfect ball 50 yards in the air. Sometimes you get beat.

One other thing that really bothers me. When our guys win and Brock has a good game or CMC racks up big yards it's all about how great we are. It's never about the other team playing poorly. When we lose it's all about our defense being terrible and the offense struggling. Never about the other team just playing better. The NFL is as evenly matched as and league in pro sports. Sometimes the other team just plays better. Sometimes it's just bad breaks .

Gibson was a solid center fielder with minimal salary requirements, don't understand rolling out there with Odom. We need to see what we have in Jayir but we know what Odom is. Really hope Jayir can get his head on right cuz he's out of position alot. Speaking of out of position alot every DE not named Bosa. This Robert Beal guy looks so bad, it has me looking for help on the practice squad.

We are the far superior team with a much more talented roster. We're a Super Bowl contender the Vikings aren't even a playoff team.

Vikings are a good team, if you look at HC, DC, QB, OL, top WR, and darn good RB, as well as the hostile road environment it is difficult to play there. Too early to say who is a playoff team or not. Last year they lost their QB1 and had a bit of a lost season. They went to the playoffs before that.

Naw, they were awful.

Even outside your measuring stick of giving up a 97 yard bomb being a forgone conclusion.

Being sensitive to fans calling these players garbage is ignorant to the fact that these players are millionaires getting paid to play a game, it comes with the territory. It's not just football it's life, when you do good no one remembers and when you do bad no one forgets.

It's amazing how poorly SF played and still only lost by 6. Once things get clicking that s**t isn't gonna happen anymore

Without Fred it's maybe a 20 point L. He deserves the gold jacket.

yeah those safeties are bad looked like they were on ice during that TD, Odum playing a serious role on D is a joke.

Yes, the Vikings are a good team. It starts with coaching. Kevin O'Connell is underrated by many. He is a level-headed, high-quality play caller, and has the respect of his team. Brian Flores is every OC's nightmare - he keeps the pressure up all the time - never lets you breathe, and has a quality secondary that is physical at the LOS to take away the quick throws when the heat comes.

Also, Sam Darnold is finally getting reps on a good team and looking like the player everyone thought he could be when drafted. If he stays healthy, they will be a playoff team again.
I can't even watch the morning shows. What a cesspool. The guys on Twitter are saying it's the end to the 49ers NFC dominance. We are finished.

One game won't define the season, but yea it's obvious this offense is getting stale. Can't keep running the same s**t over and over without adding a few wrinkles. As some have pointed out, you have speed guys like Cowing sitting on the sideline that are getting no reps with the offense. Why not take a deep shot over the top ? Why not offset the pass rush with screen plays ? Why is every play designed to go middle of the field hoping for YAC ?

the only difference between yesterday and last year vs Minn was replacing the nameplate Wilks with Sorensen. If you saw both games without knowing the players, you wouldn't be able to differentiate which game was from which year.

that goes on coaching

the way it works is the rooks have to handle the limited duties they are given. Cowing had a bad muff. You gotta excel at return man that is how you earn snaps on O. he did not make a good case for himself yesterday.

Minnesota isn't as good as you think they are, and will likely end up 3rd in the division outside the playoffs when it's said and done. I think there's a lot of coping going around in Ninerland, making the team that s**t on us look better than it is. Let's keep things in perspective. They beat us with a backup QB and missing their 2 starting receivers. Horrible take to excuse it by saying they are a very good team when they are not…

Yes, and that is the flaw with Kyle's coaching. Prove yourself doing something completely different in order to get more playing time in something completely different. How about thinking that Cowing played great on preseason so let's give him a chance in the O. Maybe he provides a home run play for Aiyuk who is still working on his rhythm.

I don't understand why you don't play Cowing when your WR's can't separate from the coverage. Because he easily can and runs great routes. With excellent hands too.
This is part of the season where Pretenders come out and give their fans false hope. There was 5 upsets yestarday.
