Way too early to panic and start calling players garbage.
No, the Safeties are garbage.
Quotes like that are juvenile. They got beat by possibly the best WR in football. That makes them garbage in your mind. Pitiful.
You serious, CM, have you not been watching the past two games. Missing tackles, miscommunication, out of position, you name it, they're everything I don't want in a Safety. How many more games are you willing to risk before you say, okay it's time to pull them. They've been cheap and neglected the position long enough.
I'm not saying they didn't have a bad game or maybe they aren't as good as other safeties. I just think calling any player garbage or trash is juvenile. These guys bust their butt all week. Way more than any of us does. To reach a level where they can play in the NFL is an accomplishment that none of us has ever even approached. Going into this season the talk was this was the best defensive backfield the team has had in years. One of the best and fastest WRs in the league beats the safety and Darnold throws a perfect ball 50 yards in the air. Sometimes you get beat.
One other thing that really bothers me. When our guys win and Brock has a good game or CMC racks up big yards it's all about how great we are. It's never about the other team playing poorly. When we lose it's all about our defense being terrible and the offense struggling. Never about the other team just playing better. The NFL is as evenly matched as and league in pro sports. Sometimes the other team just plays better. Sometimes it's just bad breaks .
