It's amazing how poorly SF played and still only lost by 6. Once things get clicking that s**t isn't gonna happen anymore

We are the far superior team with a much more talented roster. We're a Super Bowl contender the Vikings aren't even a playoff team.

Are we??

All right

Yes, and that is the flaw with Kyle's coaching. Prove yourself doing something completely different in order to get more playing time in something completely different. How about thinking that Cowing played great on preseason so let's give him a chance in the O. Maybe he provides a home run play for Aiyuk who is still working on his rhythm.

that's not a flaw with Kyle, that's just how NFL football works. Another WR, Velus Jones had a terrible muff week 1, and was a inactive coaches decision last night. he should spend all week really focusing in on those returns and showing he can do better. knocking that role out of the park will show he is ready for more roles. if a guy is given a tiny slice of responsibility and can't handle that, you don't give him more.
Niners just playing 3D chess giving the Vikings a better chance at winning their division over the Lions or Packers

Yep. There are such things as bad match ups.

Way too early to panic and start calling players garbage.

No, the Safeties are garbage.

Quotes like that are juvenile. They got beat by possibly the best WR in football. That makes them garbage in your mind. Pitiful.

Naw, they were awful.

Even outside your measuring stick of giving up a 97 yard bomb being a forgone conclusion.

Okay. They played awful but they aren't garbage or trash. I know most of us think we know a lot about football. Maybe we played in high school or even in college. The NFL is a different game. I sat at the Stick for over 30 years. Our seats were up high in the lower stands so we had a great view. I sat low in the end zone for a couple years and believe me the speed of the game is incredible. You can't really appreciate it when viewing from high up or on TV. That ball is snapped and players are moving at high speed in every direction. It's coordinated chaos.

To be able to play at that level makes you a good player. Some are better than others but none are garbage. Garbage doesn't make an NFL team.

It sucks to lose but I am not losing sleep o er a week 2 road game on a short week. I expect this team to get better as the season goes on so the loss sucks but not devastating. Take care of the division games which start this week.

Without Fred it's maybe a 20 point L. He deserves the gold jacket.
I second that

I can't even watch the morning shows. What a cesspool. The guys on Twitter are saying it's the end to the 49ers NFC dominance. We are finished.

Wow that's depressing

I don't understand why you don't play Cowing when your WR's can't separate from the coverage. Because he easily can and runs great routes. With excellent hands too.

A disappointing loss to a good team on the road. Niners controlled time of possession by over 9 minutes and led in first downs . The total yards gained was nearly even with the difference being the 97 yard TD to Jefferson. The difference in the game was the 5 man rush by the Vikings. Brock was under a lot of pressure and was sacked 6 times. What was different was the Vikings shut down Brock's escape routes so he couldn't scramble to find open receivers. This lead to a couple of picks. On the other side of the ball the Niners had 4 sacks and Darnold had some pressure but he had time to find his receivers. The Vikings won the game by controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. I was a bit surprised that Kyle did not make adjustments for the rush. I think we can expect to see every team using a 5 man rush blocking the escape routes against us from now on. Kyle will have to come up with something to beat it. The defensive line didn't have a great game. They had 4 sacks, but the Vikings could run and Darnold had time to pass. Fred had a great game and if he didn't get those turnovers the Vikings would have gotten at least 10 more points. The worst part was the Defense couldn't get off the field. If they could have got a stop in the 4th quarter we would have had a chance to win the game. If you can't get off the field you have a tough time winning. I think Sorensen should consider what the Vikes did and try a 5 man rush blocking the escape routes. It worked well against us and QB pressure seems to be a winning strategy. Up next is the Lambs in SoFi. They are pretty beat up and got a serious beat down in AZ. It doesn't look good for them.

A gold jacket would look great on him

Yes.

3 parts to a playoff team offense, defense, and special teams.

Our special teams was horrible yesterday, and frankly haven't been playoff caliber for a while. Are we still rolling with the ex Seahawks ST coach ?
