Rams were playing to win we quickly shifted to classic Kyle "don't blow it and just hang on" football. He's never had the killer instinct his pops had to keep the foot on the gas
Is it that he doesn't have his foot on the gas or that he doesn't run the ball enough to drain the clock?
I keep seeing both these statements and they are completely contradictory.

We play differently at home. Our defense will step up and Deebo and Kittle will be back which affects the mood of the team.
We will be favored 6-7 at home against AZ. The following week we will be favored 5 at Seattle.

This loss is on Kyle. Very stubborn coach and extremely unclutch in important moments.

We played a two score lead like our D could hold their offense. They were walking all over us by that 4th quarter and it was clear the more aggressive team was going to win this game. It was all over when Kyle decided to punt the ball away on our last possession in the 4th that got returned all the way to mid field.

Dude you're such a homer. I get that winning the SB is just an afterthought for you, but come on man. You don't see a problem when a team scores 14 points on its first two drives, then pretty much disappears for the rest of the 3.5 quarters ?

Today was effectively a home game. We got embarrassed. Just make sure you're here when your predictions are completely off the mark.
This team is old, bloated, and undisciplined. They lack energy, and there's no real accountability anywhere to be found.

It was 4th down on their own side of the fifty. It was not short yardage. Going for it there is low odds of conversion, and gives them the ball in their territory. No one goes for it there except Campbell for the Lions, and we've seen how those decisions turn out.
Gotta have better punt coverage and defense. If defense and special teams can't stop anyone the decisions on offense are moot anyway.

I appreciate your positivity. Outside of JJ, Brock and Mason, the team looks like a dumpster fire today, and last week as well. SEA is 3-0, motivated and playing solid. AZ playing good too. If our defense doesn't improve drastically, we'll lose those games.

Let's also bring up how well our Special teams was playing today...makes that call even worse. Would have been better to take a shot and risk a deep INT

I'm a really cynical, jaded, broken Niners fan...and I was uncharacteristically, absolutely optimistic, confident, and completely certain they would win this game.
This is a really, really bad loss. Felt just like the Super Bowl.
This team blows games they should win. And they do it in unimaginable fashion. Just like the Super Bowl, SF had about 8 or so plays where if just ONE of any of them goes the right way, they win the game. And none of them do. And they lose to a bad team, in a glorified home game...without LA's starting wideouts and entire o-line.
The pass rush is a joke. The whole defense is, honestly. And Shanahan kills this offense with his b******t.
Fully expected a loss to Minny. That was fine. They're a good team.
This is bad. Seattle is 3-0. Pittsburgh has Justin Fields for god's sake. They're 3-0.
A lot of it for SF comes down to coaching. And Kyle Shanahan will always be a great schemer, a very good OC, and not a very good head coach.
Onto the Pats

Wasn't it 4th and 8, lol?
Even the most aggressive coaches are punting there.

I see us at 2-5 after next week. Even with kittle and Debo back. Its the defense, special teams and failure to execute in key moments. This team is flat. They are off. Bad chemistry.. bad vibes. Hard to put it in words but they just seem wrong.

That would be impressive. Unprecedented even.

We all will feel better next week when we beat NE and Seattle loses at Detroit. Things will stabilize and we will be one week closer to McCaffrey returning.
