I don't think he planned on a 2 min drill anyway. He probably just wanted to run the clock out
He went empty backfield on 1st down. Purdy's arm got hit so the pass was off. Ran on 2nd to try to get it to more manageable yardage on 3rd down. RB fumbled. Now 3rd and long, pass went to the line to gain.
