WTH happened I watched the first half and the 49ers were slicing and dicing. Then come home to this? Waaaaaat

Everything that could go wrong did. Kicker is toast. Brock multiple INTs. Mason fumble in the RZ. And our D forgot how to tackle.

so many opportunities to put the nail in the coffin and once again they can't do it.

Let me say I am officially worried about this team. I haven't seen how the ints occured were they tips or just bad throws?

Tipped at the LOS. It's weird because he's scrambling around sometimes because he has to, but other times he's passing up easy completions. This team is too talented to be blowing games like this.

1. He doesn't suck as a head coach. No one goes to four NFCCGs and suck as a head coach. We know what a sorry head coach looks like. Kyle ain't it.

2. As a coordinator he's had good to great offenses for the better part of 16 years. So much so that a great deal of the NFL is eating off of what he's built.

3. He's in his own way. Foerster revealed one of our flaws. The team would rather invest in guys who score TDs than guys who protect the QB. Given Kyle's ability to get guys open, I'd argue he would be better off having a disciplined team that pass protected well, with less acclaimed playmakers than what we have now.

4. Because of our deficiencies we can't afford mistakes and the sad reality is, we are outexcuted by teams and outplayed in the most critical times, which is why this team continues to collapse.

5. Relying on vets or players in general who just don't have it. Now I do understand if we play the young guys, we will get a lot of mistakes. But I prefer that over guys who just can't play.

6. Given our red zone woes, we can't find ways to get the ball in the hands of Guerendo and Cowing in space where their speed can take over? Idk, maybe he's waiting for us to hit our nadir point of the season to go into his bag.

The guy is still is a top 5 coach, but his weaknesses are so glaring and I get the frustration. But we aren't firing this guy. Not this year.

I totally agree on Tomlin. Deserves way more respect. Kyle is great at having an offense that picks up yardage, getting average players to play above where they are, but the little things in managing the game to ensure we win? We keep coming up short.

Good post.

It's time for a change.. it's gonna be week in and week out for this team.. and all we're going to hear form KYLE is.. " this is the NFL "..
Gotta put Brandon Allen in, he's definitely the answer

You do realize the players have to actually execute the plays. The play calling isn't amazing, it's not all play calling thought

Thank you for saying it out loud

How long do you guys sing this tune? Kyle called a shotgun on third and feet twice and got two field goals.

If he won one, you'd have validity and leverage. But he doesn't. He's like ten games over 500 in 8 years here.

That tends to be the record of most coaches with long tenure that took over crap teams. Jimmy Johnson wasn't even 10 games over 500 in Dallas because of how it started.

Team needs a shake up absolutely. Firing the coach aint it. That usually leads to worst results for teams in our situation. If not immediate, then not long after. I'm curious to see how they adapt because 8 years is a long time to not win. They gotta change something.
I can understand why Purdy is trying too much, cause there is so much wrong with our team. Puts it on his shoulders. Just needs to balance out a bit mentally.

But we are total s**t as a team

Need to see the All22, there were alot of times Purdy had time to throw..... was no one open....

Good thing we drafted two smaller, quicker WRs that can beat man coverage….

I think this team thinks they can just turn it on and off whenever they want. Well they are mistaken. Seattle is going to be brutal.

The Cawks aren't that good either....
Neither are the Rams or the Cardinals and how'd that work out?

We were playing well in those games and lost them at the end. We were up at half time in both those games by at least 2 scores if I remember correctly

Take the check downs they are your friend.

Purdy was extremely inconsistent today, and I love the player but he helped cost us today. I am not going to pretend he had nothing to do with it. Our best players didn't step up and we paid dearly for it

Very much so and thought that through the first half of football. He made some really nice plays and then some crappy poor throws and reads. A really up and down game from him.

Most of these are actually spot-on.

Agree. This is going to be tough to watch each & every week. Don't see to many easy wins

That's the key word right there LOST.
Lol the NFC West is sad this year. Win on Thursday and they got first place in the division.
So we have a Head Coach who's a great play designer, who won't follow Bill Walsh's advice to run to close out a lead, who has a substantial history of blowing Super Bowl leads, the first of which was calling a pass play play when the only hope for the Patriots was to come after the quarterback for a pass play turnover, who can't hire a defensive coordinator when that would be the most coveted job in the league for anyone short of a HC job, and who listens to the fan chorus of "pay the man" when we're on the bullet train to the cap cliff. Coaches that lack judgement and management skills try to get or keep name players to bail out their incompetence. This is a pretty good imitation. I wouldn't mind trying any number of Kyle' own desciples out of the Rams, the OC for the Rams and formerly the Jets, the Dolphins, or the Packers. There are other's who'd love this job that are far better team managers.

You need understant psychology. When team are desperate, they will come after you. Don't give them the chance.
