Has the league caught up to Shanny's coaching?

Boy....last year was our best shot at the SB and lost it on the final play. Who know's if we'll ever get back there again under Shanny/Lynch

He has one of the most expensive lineups in the league, he can't win with the dream team he wanted.

Time to move on

Who do you want to replace him that you know will do better?

Ben Johnson?

So the Temu Shanahan?

Shanahan is basically AliExpress Shanahan.

We're losing to worse teams with "worse" coaches. He's not top 15…at least so far this year

That's not the name of a replacement.

Bill Bellichik is one, there are probably others out there too. Look at the Commanders, 4-13 to 4-1 leading the division with the changes they made and they were a dumpster fire of an organization, much lower starting point.

There are some good things in SF, QB being one, but there are many parts that are simply not working.

Hate wanting to start over because it means a few years of no playoffs but maybe it's time.

Brother it's going to be a few years before we see the postseason anyway… it's definitely time.

"I think we need to turn the page on this one. It's pretty clear what happened and why we lost," defensive end Nick Bosa said. "So I think it's kind of a blessing in disguise that we're playing on Thursday."
I think these losses sting a little more because even the players are saying it's now or never and we're blowing our chances at home field/bye week by not only losing conference games but also division games to lesser opponents. That being said we usually go streaking in the second half of the season so not all is lost.

can we win in Minnesota or Green Bay deep in the playoffs? Can we stay healthy for 4 straight games? Gonna be an interesting rest of the season.

Years? Psssh. Texans built that thing in a season. Look at Washington. Denver seemingly turned their defense around in a year. If we are going a mini rebuild, it should only take one year. We are replenishing depth and getting impact players earlier in the round than where we are user to drafting. This ain't the 2016 49ers. A few sensible moves and abandoning philosophies that don't work and we are fine.

Texans had three years of less than five wins before turning it around. Washington has been a dumpster fire for several years. Denver hasn't had a decent season since… when?

you listed three teams that prove the OPs point

edit: point being, simply changing the coach doesn't turn the franchise… changing the coach after years of top 10 drafting opportunities does.

Honestly, this feels a lot like the season after the superbowl with Jimmy. Everyone got hurt, many at different times. It hasn't seemed like "us" all year, even in the games we've won. Campbell has been horrendous filling in for Dre. Huff only seems to make it back for a quarter then he's injured again. CMC asked for a raise and then never played again. The entire offensive identity seemed to mirror him since he's been a Niner and they don't seem to know what to do with a normal RB.

They keep saying this after ever loss but they keep regressing… this team is cooked in 2024

Yes it is. Big Trent said it's no need to panic they know what to do. I'm like well do it just do it. I do not have a good feeling for Thursday night.
