Hopefully Bosa just keeps it simple with no spin moves. Just keep eyes on the QB at all times and collapse the pocket.

I'm not being pessimistic lol. Most those offenses will be able to put up 20-25 on us. Most defenses will be able to hold us under that.

rams moved the ball at will in the second half. Vikings offense had success against us as well… a darnold interception in the redzone and a fumble in the redzone kept the score closer than it should have been.

our special teams have shown enough to suggest their poor play is the norm, not the exception. Our running stats look better than they could due to so many gashing runs. Mason hits a brick wall at the line as many times as he breaks a 10+ yard run.

Our O-line doesn't hold up in obvious passing downs.

we've played three really bad teams and one good one.

as I mentioned, we haven't yet played to the level I think is needed to win the majority of the next six. I think 4-2 would be a dream. I think 2-4 is much more likely.

I still think we'll be positioned to come on strong at the end of the season. I love the team, and am a huge fan of most of our players… I just think it's inevitable the rest of league catches up to us and, to me, it appears this year is the year they did

edit: the hawks put up 380 yards on the lions. The cards have a serious rush attack, the chiefs have a defense that will keep us under 20, the packers looked pedestrian against the Vikings until the second half… then they looked unstoppable. The Bucs… I could see a win at the Bucs. The bills will absolutely embarrass us.

hopefully the bills game will light the fire to finish the season strong

You talk about how s**tty our defense is and then ignore our next 2 opponents? The cards D is perhaps the only defense worse than the rams and the Seahawks just got 40+ on them with an 18/18 Goff. I'm not saying our defense is great but our defense has not looked as bad as either of our next 2 opponents D's this past week

Im not ignoring anything. Cards hung tough will the bills and destroyed the rams team we lost to. Seahawks defense is better than what was on display against the lions… was considered one of the better defenses in the league pre-game and had several defensive starters out. Combine that with the fact they put up all s**t ton of yards on the lions and had two costly turnovers to swing the score to detroits favor.

i think we can agree Buffalo and the chiefs are likely losses…. With the remaining four being the hawks twice, cards, and bucs…. 2-2 in those games is a reasonable expected outcome.

2-4 in the next six is not an unreasonable prediction.

And the Seahawks were taken to OT by a pats team we completely obliterated.

I'm note sure about chiefs or bills. I know we all have PTSD but the chiefs are a few plays away from being 0-4. The bills beat up on some s**tty teams. Not saying we're some dominant team but we aren't the only team with some warts and I would not say the chiefs/bills winning is a slam dunk or likely. Those are coin flip games to me, we'll see

Not those dirty poetry birds
Looks like Mcbride is playing, he's always tough for us. AZ don't have the D to hang with Brock and the boys, I like the Ninerz all day in this one.

Always = 1 good game out of 4.

he's a good TE who's made big plays against us. 2 of those are good games. don't you have anything better to do than fact check me, lol?

Nope, at work and I like talking sh*t about McBride because I think he's overrated. Mostly to do with a few fantasy football leagues I am in.
Dennis Brown was talking bout how hard it's going to be to contain a healthy Murray. It was interesting to hear him talk about the signal calls he got from Norton or Gary Plummer. D line is way more complex than it seems to the fans.

I can believe that. I'm sure most positions are more complex than fans realize.
I know we upped our blitz percentage in the last game to somewhere between 33-35% depending on the source, but I'm not sure this is a great match up for that approach. If they blitz and don't get there, it will open up lanes for Kyler to gash us. I would probably anticipate more of a gap control approach for this week. This team has had issues with mobile QB's in the past, and Kyler is the first mobile QB we have faced so far this season. We will see how we handle it. Let's hope for a great game plan.

They also have 2 very good receivers to throw to. If you blitz and don't get there it will leave single coverage at best on Marvin Harrison or Wilson. Both could burn us.
We could see a high scoring game this Sunday against the Cards, depending what version of this defense shows up.

That being said, I think we have too much talent on offense for us not to come away with the win.

9ers 40 - 27 Cards

We let it slip away against the Rams. I doubt that happens again.
