The Cardinals should not be much of a threat to the 49ers if the team has aspirations on a Super Bowl. But they play the games for a reason and anything can happen.

Our offense should be able to move the ball at will
Hopefully our special teams doesn't have another f**king blunder
Hopefully our defense doesn't s**t the bed and let Kyler run around for 10 sec to find a wide open Harrison Jr.

Pretty much. I never understand the "if we can't beat Team X we have no shot at the Superbowl". The chiefs got embarrassed by the raiders last year and they won the Superbowl.
Any team can beat any other team, but we already have 2 losses and to comfortably get into the playoffs I don't think we can have more than 6 so we don't have the luxury of too many Ls vs teams we should beat

The version of us that played the rams gets embarrassed by the cardinals on Sunday.
we are obviously the more talented team…. Not sure that matters anymore. BA appears to be less effective, our dline is massively disappointing thus far (count the pat's game at your own risk), our d backfield either gives up the long pass or gives up the long penalty, we give up third down conversions with little resistance, our o-line isn't reliable, we have one decent linebacker, and our special teams s**ts the bed at least once a game, our rushing stats are skewed by several long runs and tend to hide how often we get stonewalled, and although Brock is playing great ball, he's holding the ball longer than ever…. Which is greatly concerning to me.
We are talented enough to negate all that. We haven't thus far…. The hope is we start this week. If we don't… gonna get really uncomfortable

Ooo ok let's go line by line.
is ba performing as well as last year?
has our dline performed as expected?
have our corners/safeties given up long passes and/or pentalties?
Pre-pats… did we have an acceptable third down stoppage rate on defense?
is our o-line protecting purdy?
How's our linebackers performances been thus far? Other than Fred.
our special teams.. they been doing ok?
Mason has the most big-gain runs in the league…'does that not skew stats?
is Brock getting rid of the ball as quickly as last year?
legitimately not a single emotional statement in there. Strange that you'd reach in your Rolodex of b******t responses and choose that one to use.

It's a week to week league. The defense has looked fantastic in 2 out of 4 games. If you take away 3rd downs (I know....) we are ranked #2 in the league in dvoa. Unfortunately, our 3rd down defense has stunk. Time will tell if that gets figured out but a good foundation is there.
As for special teams, it's trash now and has been trash for 7 years

We lost only two games by a combined 9 points, in those loses, we weren't outclassed. in those two losses the vikings and rams had to play their best game when we were not even at 100% and they barely won.

Hmmm now who's emotional?
im not "acting" like anything. I posted some of what I deem to be alarming trends, and took a guess of how they would affect us in the future. It's called analysis.
and I'm likely to be incorrect.

I think our defense is a problem and will be all year. Last week can't be taken as a given considering how bad the Pats offense is. I would say that even at its best the 49ers defense couldn't handle running QBs well. Now we have a really slow linebacker next to Warner and a hurt Warner. Sub-par defensive line play and a really bad defense on third downs. I'm guessing the 49ers offense will need to put put a lot of points against the Cards but I hope I'm wrong.

If you take away the losses the 49ers are undefeated

Putting it in context of the fact we already have 2 losses on the season, to lose the Arizona now would be a bright signal that this years team doesn't have the same mojo. I'm also pushing back a bit on the narrative that Arizona is some major threat and that the 49ers defense can't handle Kyler Murray. San Francisco has the superior roster between these teams so I really like our chances. I'll take Brock over Kyler any day. I'd take our playmakers over Arizona's. Our defense over theirs. Special teams is a real concern going in though because the unit can have an outsized impact on games (relative to the number of snaps they are on the field). Schneider is a good ST coach too so their relative crappiness must be a combination of bad luck and lack of priority when budgeting for the kind of roster Shanahan wants to field.

He's the one player on defense that we can't afford to be without
